Living In A Godless Society – (Revelation 2)

Revelation 2

Here we are in America, just days away from the presidential election of 2020.  One major issue for me is how Godless our society is.  Yet it is so easy to become absorbed into the world’s standards.  Christian standards at times seem to be on a sliding scale. Read more here.

October 27th – Psalm 80:17

Psalm 80:17

Israel was being threatened by the Assyrian army, and needed rescuing. They pleaded with God to save them by shining His face upon them once again. After facing the consequences of their rebellion against God, the Israelites were in desperate need of restoration. Restoration is “the action of returning something to a former owner, place, or condition.” Like Israel we all can lose our way and find ourselves separated from God. But also like Israel, when we confess, repent, and obey, God is faithful to restore us back to Him, wipe the slate clean, and remember our sin no more.

October 26 – James 1:17

James 1:17

Every good thing in our lives is a direct result of the love and grace God shows to us. Even though we are worthy of nothing, He blesses us abundantly. Why? Not because we are good, but because He is. Once we receive Jesus as our Savior, we become adopted heirs into the kingdom of God. And to His children, the Lord loves to give generously. (Matt. 7:11) And we can rest assured that because God is never changing, He will always be faithful to bless, love, and provide for those He calls His own.
