Psalm 118:24

Life has its up and downs, and some days are better than others. But each day that we are given, is a precious gift from God. The the dawn of each day brings with it fresh opportunities. Opportunities to love another, to grow in our relationship with God, and to start anew. God never promises anyone a tomorrow, so we need to live each day as the blessing that it is. Lamentations 3 reminds us that God’s mercies are new every morning. So rejoice, be glad, and make today a great one!

Christian Medical Group Urges Churches To Close

In some states where churches remained closed yet bars and strip clubs are allowed to stay open, a prominent association of Christian doctors is urging churches to stop in person gatherings. Christian Medical and Dental Associations says the recommendation is about loving one another and minimizing risk to the vulnerable around us. Read more about their reasoning here. 

 

ALS Ice Bucket Challenge Co-Creator Dies

Remember the ice bucket challenge when everyone was dumping cold water over their heads? The challenge was started to raise money and awareness for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. One of the co-creators, Patrick Quinn, died after a seven long year battle with the disease. Read about this disease and how the awareness continues here.

 

Housing Boom In The Middle Of Pandemic

According to ABC News, the chaotic events of 2020 have caused “millions of Americans” to relocate.  In New York City alone, more than 300,000 former residents have permanently moved to new addresses. We have never seen anything quite like this before, and it is anticipated that this trend will continue into 2021. Read more about the boom here.

Paralyzed Gymnast Starts Tea Company

On track at the time as an Olympic hopeful, Taylor Lindsay-Noel, saw her dreams as an athlete end when she became a quadriplegic. But instead of defeat, she turned things around by starting her own company. Called, Cup of Té, Noel went on to create her own line of organic tea blends and tea accessories. After exiled in Babylon for more than 70 years, the people of Israel were finally going home. Beginning the work of rebuilding the temple, they sang songs of praise and thanksgiving for the fulfilled promises of God. And just like Israel, we too can rejoice knowing that the Lord always keeps His promises. Although the wait may be difficult, when we can trust in God’s perfect timing. For when we do He will reward that faith, promising the end results will be greater than we could ever have dreamed!

November 24th – Philippians 4:6

In a year filled with chaos and turmoil, it’s no wonder so many of us are battling anxiety and worry. But as Christians we aren’t alone. God wants to fight the battle for us. He tells not to be troubled, but instead turn to Him and in prayer, lay the sorrows of our hearts at His feet. For God cares about every aspect of the lives of His children, both big and small. And when we come to Him with hearts of thanksgiving, the Lord promises to give to us His peace. A perfect peace to guard both our hearts and minds.

Charlie Brown Returns To Public Television

After Appletv, who purchased the rights to Charles Schultz’s Peanuts, announced the specials will only be see on AppleTv, people were outraged. Now they’ve reversed their decision. After receiving a petition containing more than 250,000 signatures, the company says the specials will now air on PBS as well. Read more about the times and days here.

 

Christian Astronaut Heads To Outer Space

Have you ever wanted to go to outer space? Christian astronaut Victor Glover is headed for a six-month stint in outer space to take part in a science mission at the International Space Station. Bringing with him communion cups and a Bible, Glover plans to continue virtual service, virtual giving, reading his Bible and praying. Read more about his upcoming adventure here.

 

Christians Donate 27,000 Bibles

here in American we take for granted the ability to pick up and read a Bible whenever we want. but that’s not true for many around the world. So a Michigan charity called, Mission Cry, an organization that works with local churches by sending them bibles and helping with church plants, just sent 27,000 Bibles to Albania to aid persecuted Christians in the country. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, The Home Depot has been supporting its associates with expanded paid time off for all hourly workers and implementing temporary weekly bonuses for everyone. When King Nebuchadnezzar threatened to kill all the wise men of Babylon, Daniel stepped up. Knowing that it is the Lord who is in full control of everything and everyone, and is the One who gives power and wisdom, Daniel believed God would deliver him. Do you have the faith of Daniel? Do you trust the Lord no matter the circumstance? Can you give thanks and praise to God for His answer before it even comes? God rewarded Daniel for his faith and obedience, and He promises to do the same for us!

November 22nd – Colossians  3:16

God never intended the Christian walk to be a solo one. We are all members of a divine family, and us such we are meant for fellowship with one another. Why? Because a big part of growing in our relationship with the Lord depends on the encouragement, love, grace, and teaching from other Believers. We are brothers and sisters in Christ, that make up God’s heavenly choir. A choir which sings in harmony together, songs that spring forth from hearts overflowing with thankfulness for all the Lord does and all He is.

November 21st – Jonah 2:9

Jonah learned the hard way that when God tells us to do something, running away is never the answer. Sometimes God asks things of us that we might not understand, or don’t want to do. But if we’re truly serious about seeing the will of god done, we will obey.; no matter what. For God’s ways are perfect, His reasoning above ours. And in thanksgiving for all He has given us, including His only Son, with shouts of grateful praise, we should eagerly do all the Lord calls us to do.
