Growing In Faith – Luke 7

Luke 7

In Luke 18:8 Jesus asks this question, “….when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?” Why is faith so important to God?  Hebrews 11:6 gives us the answer.  “Without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.” In order to please God we not only need to believe that He is who He says He is, but also trust in His promise to reward our faithfulness. …

March 1st – Psalm 51:10

Psalm 51:10

Each of us sin and fail the Lord daily. But we serve a loving and merciful God, who offers us His never ending forgiveness and reconciliation. For when we come to Him in confession and repentance, God washes away the filth in our hearts. Cleansing us with His loving grace, God removes our sins as far as the east is from the west. (Ps. 103:12) And He promises that when we truly seek God and His will, He will renew in us an unmovable and unshakable spirit dedicated to Him.

House Passes HR-5 Equality

An act pushed through by the house could have devastating consequences for religious freedom and women’s rights. House Democrats voted the Equality Act through Thursday almost exclusively along party lines. The legislation adds “sexual orientation” and “gender identity” to federal anti-discrimination law that applies to public accommodations, employment, housing, education, and more. Read more about this act which also explicitly dismantles existing federal laws meant to uphold the rights of religious individuals and allow them to challenge unfair enforcement of anti-discrimination law here.

Good Samaritan Returns Found Wallet

A Florida teacher says a Good Samaritan went the extra mile after finding her lost wallet. Debra Crosby’s doorbell camera recorded a man at the door of her home on Saturday. In the video, the stranger tells her that he found her lost wallet. He then leaves it in a safe place outside her door. Cosby is quoted as saying, “I’m thinking wow this is super. He didn’t leave his name. He didn’t do it or the fame or fortune,” she said. “He did it, I guess, for the right reason. It made me feel like what I’ve known all along that 99% of people are great, even though sometimes we focus on that 1% that do the wrong thing.” The man’s identity is unknown.
