Job 22:21
When Job was in the middle of his suffering, his friend Eliphaz tried to give him some sage advice. “Repent and return to the Lord.” However in this case, sin wasn’t the cause of Job’s problems. Yet even though Eliphaz’s words of wisdom didn’t apply to Job, they are great advice for us. When we have sinned against God and strayed off His path, broken fellowship results. But when we come to Him in confession and repentance, our hearts can once again find peace and joy. And by remaining in the Lord, establishing His Word in our hearts, and walking in obedience, we can experience the eternal goodness of Jesus.
