Ezra 3:11

After exiled in Babylon for more than 70 years, the people of Israel were finally going home. Beginning the work of rebuilding the temple, they sang songs of praise and thanksgiving for the fulfilled promises of God. And just like Israel, we too can rejoice knowing that the Lord always keeps His promises. Although the wait may be difficult, when we can trust in God’s perfect timing. For when we do He will reward that faith, promising the end results will be greater than we could ever have dreamed!

In a year filled with chaos and turmoil, it’s no wonder so many of us are battling anxiety and worry. But as Christians we aren’t alone. God wants to fight the battle for us. He tells not to be troubled, but instead turn to Him and in prayer, lay the sorrows of our hearts at His feet. For God cares about every aspect of the lives of His children, both big and small. And when we come to Him with hearts of thanksgiving, the Lord promises to give to us His peace. A perfect peace to guard both our hearts and minds.

When King Nebuchadnezzar threatened to kill all the wise men of Babylon, Daniel stepped up. Knowing that it is the Lord who is in full control of everything and everyone, and is the One who gives power and wisdom, Daniel believed God would deliver him. Do you have the faith of Daniel?
