April 2nd – 1 John 4:19

1 John 4:19

Born sinners and enemies of the Lord, once we had hearts of stone. But because God seeks a close, personal, relationship with us, He gave us the gift of love. Now not only can we love others, but we can love God with all of our hearts, minds and souls. And nowhere is God’s deep affection more evident, than in His love gift of Jesus Christ. Who, because of His death on the Cross, made it possible for us to offer in joy and gratitude to God a now acceptable love. A love made clean by faith in Christ and His righteousness.

Walking In The Light – 1 John 1

1 John 1

When John was in Ephesus he learned of false teachers infecting and dividing the church. 1 John 4:21

December 18th – 1 John 4:10

1 John 4:10

Victor Hugo once said,” The supreme happiness of life consists in the conviction that one is loved.” We can have an assured conviction of the love God has for us, for it is manifested through His gift of His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. Freely, and lovingly, the Lord came to pay the sin debt that we owe. Sadly, many won’t love God in return. Yet because He is love, our Father’s love for each of children never ceases. And because of that amazing, unmerited love shown to us, we should eagerly share that love with others.

1 John 1:7

There’s nothing better than standing in the light of the sun, and feeling the warmth of its rays upon our skin. But beyond the warmth, it also produces valuable Vitamin D that our bodies need to function. As Christians there’s nothing better than standing in the light of the Lord and feeling the warmth of His love and grace. When we walk in obedience to God, the fellowship we experience with Him and fellow believers nourishes our soul. And through the precious blood of Jesus, we are healed of our sins.
