Abandoned

March 14th – Deuteronomy 31:6

Deuteronomy 31:6

Anxiety has become an epidemic. Everywhere we turn, people are weighed down by fear. Fear of the future, fear of failure, fear of not having enough, fear of being alone. The world is desperate for courage. But the courage we seek doesn’t come from within us, it comes from trusting the One who holds it all together. I’ve had moments where fear tried to paralyze me. Times when the unknown felt overwhelming, and I wanted to shrink back. But I’ve learned that courage isn’t the absence of fear. Courage is choosing to move forward despite it, knowing that God goes before us.

My heavenly Father has never left me stranded, never abandoned me in the storm. Maybe you’re in a season where fear is screaming louder than faith, where the weight of uncertainty feels unbearable. But you don’t have to carry it alone. God is with you, steadying you, strengthening you, and leading you forward. Even when we don’t see a way, He is already making one. Fear may try to hold you back, but trust in Him will push you forward. For you are never alone, God is always going before you.

January 25th – Matthew 10:34

Matthew 10:34

It can be a lonely road when we set out to change our lives and grow closer to the Lord. Because really following Jesus can mean division within our closest relationships, and even losing people from our lives. And while the process can be deeply painful, we can comfort in knowing the Lord understands. For He too was rejected, abandoned, and hurt by those He loved. But when we embrace His path, we gain a deeper connection with God and a community of fellow believers who support and uplift us along the way. Our pursuit of Christlikeness, though accompanied by loss, is part of a higher calling that aligns us with the very heart of our Savior. The pain is a testament to the depth of our commitment to Christ, and in the midst of such trials, His comforting presence sustains us. Because in Jesus we find understanding, empathy, and a divine purpose that transcends earthly relationships. And what God offers is far greater than anything or anyone we lose.

September 2nd – 1 Chronicles 22:19

1 Chronicles 22:19

Have you ever felt afraid and abandoned by God? Known the pain of being forgotten and ignored by the One you need the most? I know I have. But the truth is, during those times I found that God wasn’t forgetting me, I was forgetting God. It used to be that I only searched for God when it was convenient for me, and usually when I needed something. When times were good, my relationship with the Lord took the back burner. I would go happily on my way until the next crisis hit. But the Bible tells us we are to constantly search after God. To truly seek Him in good times and bad. To seek God literally means to seek His face, or His presence. And to truly seek Him means having a passion and a hunger burning so deep in your heart and soul that you want to feel His presence not only during times of trouble, but in every minute of every day! A passion that leads to being committed to not merely seeking Him, but in finding Him!
