Ascension

April 23rd – Acts 1:9-11

Acts 1:9-11

The story didn’t end at the empty tomb. Nor did it end when Jesus ascended into heaven. As His followers stood gazing at the sky, awestruck and unsure, they were reminded that the same Jesus who went up will one day return. Can you imagine standing there? Watching your Savior rise in glory, leaving behind the echoes of victory over death? That moment wasn’t a goodbye. It was a commissioning. Easter reminds us not only of what Jesus has done, but of what He’s coming back to complete. This same Jesus, full of mercy, truth, and power, is preparing a place for us. And until He comes again, we’ve been called. Called to go, to share, and to shine His light. The cross wasn’t the end. The tomb wasn’t the end. Even the sky couldn’t contain Him. Jesus lives. And because He lives, we live with purpose. So let’s not stand still staring at the clouds. Let’s live boldly, joyfully, and expectantly. And do so carrying Easter in our hearts every day until we see Him return.

March 11th – Mark 16:19

Mark 16:19

In Mark 16:19, we witness the awe-inspiring moment of Jesus’ ascension into heaven. A miraculous and powerful testament to His divine nature and authority. Yet as He ascended, He left His disciples with a beautiful promise, assuring them of His return one day. A promise made to us as well, and one that fills our hearts with hope and anticipation. Because it reminds us that our Savior will come again one day soon to reign in glory. In the meantime, we find comfort in the presence of the Holy Spirit, who dwells within us. Loving, molding, guiding, and comforting us in the midst of life’s trials. Knowing that Jesus reigns as King of kings and Lord of lords brings us immense comfort and reassurance. His sovereignty extends over all creation, and His love sustains us through every season of life. As we await His second coming, we hold fast to the hope of His eternal kingdom, where we will dwell with Him in perfect peace and joy forevermore.

June 27th – Acts 1:11

Acts 1:11

After His Resurrection, and appearing to the disciples, Jesus ascended to the Father from the Mount of Olives. They watched as a cloud received their Lord and carried Him into heaven. And while they stood staring up at the sky, an angel appeared before them. He told the disciples that just as Jesus left, in the same manner He would come again. And this time, the whole world will witness His magnificent return. As the Antichrist and his minions gather in the valley of Megiddo to wage a final war, Jesus will once again come to the Mount of Olives. Our Savior descends from a cloud, ready to do battle. But the battle is over before it begins. Because the moment Christ’s feet touch the earth, the mountain splits in two creating a valley of escape for His people. And with one supernatural word that Jesus speaks, the Antichrist and his armies are instantly defeated. Evil is destroyed and Jesus begins His glorious millennial reign.

June 11th – Luke 21:34

Luke 21:34

Did you know that the rapture could occur at any time? There is no prophecy that has to be fulfilled, nor definite sign marking the day and the hour. Jesus could literally call us home at any moment. Before He ascended to the right hand of the Father, Jesus told the disciples about His soon return. And until that time they were to stay aware and be ready. Jesus gives us that same warning. We too are to be spiritually alert and ready. And until that glorious day, we should be living productive lives focused on working and advancing God’s kingdom. Our goal is to take with us as many as we can on that wonderful trip to meet our Savior in the sky!
