May 15th – 2 Corinthians 4:18

2 Corinthians 4:18

As Christians, we are called to have eyes that focus on the eternal promises of God. With faith as our lens, seeing the unseen and trusting in His unchanging truth. As we await the return of Jesus, let us fix our eyes on the eternal glory that awaits us. For though the troubles of this world may be many, they are but temporary shadows compared to the radiant light of God’s kingdom. So let us not lose heart in the face of adversity. Instead let us focus on the unseen realities of His eternal realm. Because in that beautiful and glorious kingdom, treasures beyond our comprehension await us. Treasures that far outweigh any present suffering we may endure. In light of that truth, may we press on with faith and perseverance, knowing that our current trials are but a passing moment in the grand scheme of eternity. For the glory that will be revealed in us surpasses all earthly pain and hardship. Therefore, let us eagerly anticipate the day when we will be united with Jesus forever, basking in the fullness of His love and glory for all eternity.

April 28th – Matthew 6:28

Matthew 6:28

Oh to be like the lily of the field. Clothed in beauty by the Creator’s hand, and spending the day swaying in the spring breeze without a care in the world. Although we know we will face difficulty in this life, we never have to face them alone. God invites us to turn over our worry and burdens to Him. Trusting that His grace, which unfurls like the petals of a flower, will nurture our needs before they even arise. He wants us to stop wasting our time fretting over tomorrow, worrying who will provide for us. Because our Almighty God is in complete control, and orchestrates every dawn with tender precision. So just as spring surrenders to the rhythm of growth ordained by heaven, let us we surrender our cares. And instead embrace the promise that everything we need, like the morning dew upon the petals, will be abundantly provided. Where we will find the comfort of knowing that tomorrow’s worries are already cradled in the hands of the Eternal Gardener. And worry is replaced with serenity, anxiety overcome with peace.

April 26th – Psalm 1:3

Psalm 1:3

As we behold the beauty of spring in all its splendor, let us also reflect on the beauty and splendor of rooting ourselves in God’s Word. For like the trees which draw nourishment from the flowing streams, so too are our souls nourished by the living water of scripture. We all want to be blessed by God. God wants that too. But that won’t happen if we’re rooted in the wickedness of the world, being fed by the sins of the flesh, and producing worthless, worldly, fruit. The way we live our lives, not the words we speak, are the true testimonies of our hearts. And every eye is watching; especially God’s. So to receive His very best, we need to be people after God’s own heart. This means uprooting ourselves from the sinful soil of this earth, being replanted on the riverbank of God’s living water. There we can be nourished day and night with His goodness and love. Our leaves will forever be lush and beautiful. And never will our tree be barren, but always produce sweet, bountiful fruit pleasing to the Lord.

April 25th – Isaiah 35:1-2

Isaiah 35:1-2

In the dry, desolate expanse of the desert, life seems to wither away, leaving behind a barren landscape. But with the arrival of spring, a miraculous transformation takes place. And the once dreary scenery, becomes vibrant with blooming wildflowers of pink, purple, and yellow. Isaiah paints a vivid picture of the transformation that occurs when God’s restoration unfolds. Like the desert bursting forth with life and splendor, so too will our hearts burst forth with joy when we witness the fullness of God’s restoration. A restoration rooted in His mercy, and one that will take us from brokenness to wholeness, darkness to light. And the joy we experience from God’s promises fulfilled, will be greater than anything we’ve ever known. So as we anticipate this glorious renewal, let us prepare our hearts to receive it with open arms, trusting in God’s unfailing love and faithfulness. And when the day of restoration comes, may our happiness be uncontainable. Like streams bursting forth in the desert, flooding the parched land with life-giving water.

Philippians 4:6-7

Nothing smells better than the sweet perfume of spring in the air! The time when all of nature gives off the aroma of renewal and growth. So like the sweet fragrance of blooming flowers, let our prayers rise before God as a pleasing aroma. One that fills the heavens with the essence of our hearts’ desires. May we bring our requests to the Lord with thanksgiving, knowing that He hears and answers according to His perfect will. And may our spirits open up like an unfurled flower, waiting to receive the blessings God bestows upon us. With hearts filled with gratitude, let us lift our voices in prayer, surrendering our worries and fears into His capable hands. For in His presence, there is peace that surpasses all understanding. A peace that guards our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. As we abide in His love, may our prayers be a symphony of trust and hope, echoing throughout eternity. January 11th – Psalm 119:11

Psalm 119:11

God’s Word is not just ink on pages. As we are told in Hebrews, it’s alive and active. “Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” (Heb. 4:12) God’s Word is the transformative force that shapes our thoughts, guides our actions, and illuminates the path of our lives. In its impact, we find wisdom, strength, and the sacred map for the journey of spiritual growth and renewal. As we intentionally store His teachings in our hearts, the Bible becomes a guiding compass in the journey of renewal. It shapes our thoughts and actions, offering divine direction. The hidden treasures of His Word illuminate our path, providing clarity and wisdom in moments of uncertainty. And in embracing every word we not only fortify ourselves against the pitfalls of sin, but also open ourselves to the gentle currents of spiritual renewal. Allowing the living Word to breathe life into every facet of our being.

September 8th – Romans 12:2

Romans 12:2

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is; His good, pleasing and perfect will.”

We are at war with a powerful Enemy. And even the mightiest Christian can fall prey to his lies and sin against God. So we need to use every weapon in our arsenal to stop him at every turn. That’s why the apostle Paul councils us to fight against the pull of sin by transforming our minds and renewing our thought patterns. Because Paul knew the power of a Christlike mind and heart. We live in a world that both glorifies and encourages sinful desires and behaviors. Yet as followers of Jesus, we are called to resist conformity to these worldly standards. Instead, we are urged to seek a deeper understanding of God’s will and purpose. And we do this through His Word and prayer. By immersing ourselves in God’s truth and aligning our thoughts with His, we gain the strength to discern right from wrong. And the ability to make choices that honor Him. This transformation enables us to resist the pull of sin and to live in a way that reflects the righteousness and holiness of God.
