Blessed Hope

October 13th – Titus 2:13

Titus 2:13

Hope is the quiet strength that keeps our hearts steady when the world feels unsteady. Oh, not the worldly kind that fades when circumstances shift, but the living hope that looks toward the day our Savior, Jesus Christ, will appear. Living in this fallen world can be weary on our souls. And tired of the wait we cry out, “Maranatha! come, Lord Jesus!” But thankfully, our blessed hope isn’t some faraway dream. It’s the anchor that keeps our hearts secure when storms surround us. Each sunrise reminds us that God’s promises are still unfolding, His timing is still perfect, and His love is still holding us fast. So we live with eyes lifted, knowing that one day every sorrow will be silenced and every tear wiped away. Until that day, hope teaches us to endure patiently, love deeply, and walk faithfully. Waiting doesn’t weaken us, it refines us. It molds us into people whose peace is found not in what we see, but in who we know is coming. And that living hope dear friend, makes every moment we wait, sacred.

May 14th – Titus 2:13-14

Titus 2:13-14

The apostle Paul reminds us of the blessed hope we have in Jesus Christ. And how, through His sacrifice, we have been purified and set apart for His glory. But what does that mean? It means that while we wait for His glorious return, we are not to grow weary or lose heart, but instead remain steadfast in our faith and commitment to the Lord. And to allow the Holy Spirit to continually work on shaping us into the image of Jesus. Which happens when we surrender ourselves wholly to His refining fire, allowing Him to cleanse us from all unrighteousness and mold us into vessels fit for His use. As we are set apart for Jesus, our lives take on a distinct purpose and direction. One which reflects His love, grace, and truth to the world around us. So let us be diligent in doing good works, eager to bring honor and glory to His name. And as we look for His return, may we be filled with a holy reverence and awe. For one day we will stand before Him, purified and set apart, ready to receive our eternal inheritance in His kingdom.

Titus 2:13

Hope can be defined as a desire accompanied by expectation of or belief in fulfillment, someone or something on which hopes are centered, or to expect with confidence. In Titus 2:13, we are reminded of our blessed hope, the glorious appearing of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. This hope is not mere wishful thinking, but a confident expectation grounded in the promises of God. It is the anticipation of the completion of God’s redemptive plan, when Jesus will return in glory to establish His kingdom on earth. Our blessed hope is the anchor for our souls, sustaining us through trials and tribulations as we eagerly await His coming. It reminds us that this world is not our final home, but that we are citizens of a heavenly kingdom, destined for eternal life with our Savior. As we look forward to His return, let us live with purpose and anticipation, striving to live holy and godly lives in this present age. And let us encourage one another with the truth of our blessed hope, knowing that the day of His coming draws ever nearer.

November 23rd – Titus 2:13-14

Titus 2:13-14

I am thankful that Jesus is my blessed hope

AW Tozer once said, “Let us be alert to the season in which we are living. It is the season of the Blessed Hope, calling for us to cut our ties with the world and build ourselves on this One who will soon appear. He is our hope; a Blessed Hope enabling us to rise above our times and fix our gaze upon Him.” I truly believe we are living in the last days, and Jesus could return at any minute. But while we wait for the blessed hope of the Lord’s return, we have work to do. Not only are we to continue spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ, we are also to continue working on ourselves. We do this by rejecting the values of the world, and leading sensible, righteous, and godly lives. Each day could be the day of the glorious return of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Are you ready? Do not take for granted that you have tomorrow for as Jesus warns, “Be on guard! Be alert! You do not know when that time will come!” (Mark 13:33)

April 2nd – 1 Peter 1:3

1 Peter 1:3

Did you know Peter is often called the apostle of hope? Even as he watched his beloved Master, Friend, and Teacher, hang upon a Cross, he didn’t despair. Because through the blood of Jesus, Peter knew that now everyone who received Christ as their Savior can experience hope. And not just a wishful hope. But a living, confident, expectation through the resurrection of Jesus. Because of His great mercy, God doesn’t want us to remain dead in our sins. And so He offers us a grace we don’t deserve, and can never earn. A grace through His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. And because of Christ’s great sacrifice, we now can be born again. Our heavenly Father chooses, sanctifies, and gives us great purpose. And our lips should offer continue praise and blessings to Him for all He is, and does!

Titus 2:13

As Christians, we know this earth isn’t our forever home. As co-heirs with Jesus, we are members of His heavenly kingdom. And by His side is where we will spend eternity. And as we anxiously await His appearing, the hope filling our hearts will carry us through every trial we face in this fallen world.
