January 14th – Exodus 14:31

Exodus 14:31

One of greatest miracles performed in the Bible, is the parting of the Red Sea. Where God separated the waters, and delivered Israel from the grip of Egypt. From His great love, God parts the seas in our lives as well. In moments of difficulty, His hand clears the way. And lovingly, He transforms obstacles into pathways toward new beginnings and unwavering hope. What a beautiful reminder that just as He led Israel through the challenges of slavery to the freedom of the Promised Land, God is our steadfast deliverer. While we walk this earth we will experience moments of challenges. But as He did with His chosen people, the Lord will go ahead of us, smoothing the way. The promise of Exodus 12:31 echoes in our hearts, assuring us that God’s delivering hand is not limited to the past but extends into our present and future. In times of trial, we can trust that His faithfulness endures. And will steer us towards a place of new beginnings where His grace transforms challenges into opportunities for growth and freedom.

Hebrews 11:1

Faith is the quiet confidence that whispers in our heart. It urges us to believe in the unseen and trust in the promises yet to unfold. Embarking on a journey of renewal often requires stepping into the unfamiliar with unwavering faith. And trusting in God’s promises even when we don’t see the path ahead. When we have faith, we have the courage to embrace the unknown, trusting that there’s something better on the other side. And it’s this kind of faith that keeps us moving forward through the challenges of changing. For it puts complete trust in God to guide us toward the hope and possibilities that lie ahead. December 26th – Psalm 90:12

Psalm 90:12

As the year draws to a close, Solomon calls us to reflect on the past year. To take some time to look back at the highs, lows, good times and bad. And to ponder the lessons we learned, the challenges we overcame, and the growth we experienced. In this reflective pause, we see the fleeting nature of time and the shortness of our journey here on earth. And most of all we see the glory of God. Because through the ebb and flow of life, His unwavering faithfulness is always there as a comforting constant. So as we navigate the moments of our past year, may our reflections be not just a review of experiences, but a recognition of God’s steadfast presence, His grace in times of struggle, and His blessings in moments of joy. Psalm 90:12 is a guiding prayer, inviting us to seek wisdom in reflection and gratitude in acknowledging the faithfulness that has carried us through the the past year. So without forgetting what lies behind, may we all look forward to what’s coming ahead with the new year.

November 30th – 1 Peter 2:20

1 Peter 2:20

When bad things happen as a result of something we did, we understand the consequences that follow. But sometimes bad things happen when we’ve done everything right. And in those times instead of asking why, we need to accept that although not every challenge is earned, every challenge is an opportunity for spiritual growth. This calls for a unique form of endurance. One that perseveres in hope, even amid undeserved suffering. When we embrace hope in these moments, it becomes an act of profound trust. One that acknowledges God’s plan may transcend our immediate understanding. And that enduring with faith can lead to a deeper connection with His divine purpose. It’s an invitation to walk in the footsteps of Christ, who Himself endured unjust suffering. To find solace in the enduring hope that the Lord recognizes and honors such steadfast perseverance. And one He will wipe away every tear we cry, (Rev. 21:4), and replace our sorrow with everlasting joy!

Psalm 33:18

Just as an anchor secures a boat in the midst of turbulent waters, anchoring to God provides stability and security in the difficulty of life’s challenges. Anchored to God keeps us grounded in unwavering faith and divine principles, and prevents us from drifting away from the Lord. But to be so grounded in the Lord means cultivating a deep reverence for all God is, does, and blesses us with daily. It involves acknowledging His sovereignty and cherishing the hope found in His steadfast love. As we navigate life’s challenges, this awareness becomes a source of enduring strength. Our hope is not in our own capabilities or in the uncertainties of the world but in the constancy of God’s love. This invites us to place our trust in the Lord, embracing the assurance that His loving gaze sustains and empowers us to endure, regardless of the circumstances we face.
