Confidence

January 4th – Jeremiah 29:11

Jeremiah 29:11

Facing the unknown of a new year can be daunting. Yet when we walk into the future hand in hand with God, we have no need to worry. For He is in complete control of all things, seen and unseen. And as Jeremiah tells us, God’s plans for us are brimming with hope and purpose. All we have to do is trust Him in all things. But trusting God’s plans can be challenging. Because it often requires letting go of our own desires and timelines. Yet in the difficulty of surrender, we find that His path, though not always easy, is always the best. And by opening our hearts to the opportunities He has in store, we step into a journey marked by hope, purpose, and the unwavering assurance that His plan is one of prosperity and a flourishing life. So even though we may not know what the new year holds, we can face every twist and turn with confidence. Because God’s purpose will unfold with a wisdom that leads to ultimate goodness and fulfillment.

December 29th – 2 Corinthians 4:8-9

2 Corinthians 4:8-9

As we get ready to usher in a new year, we know the months ahead will be filled with their own set of challenges. Yet we can approach each one not with fear or despair, but with an unwavering trust in God’s sustaining power. And with a full confidence that although the waves may crash and the boat rock, we will not be swept away. For if we have a foundation built on faith in God, no storm of life can overcome us. No matter what the Enemy throws at us, or how hard he tries to destroy us, no plan of his will succeed. As a beacon in the night, Our Heavenly Father will be there guiding and protecting us through it all, His strength made perfect in our weakness. So bring on the new year! And as we encounter the uncertainties that it will may bring, let us face them with unwavering trust in God’s unfailing grace. For where there is trust, there is the promise of endless possibilities and unwavering hope.

November 10th – Romans 8:18

Romans 8:18

Jesus warned that while on this earth, His followers would experience rocky times. (2 Tim. 3:12) And there’s not a single one of us who hasn’t been touched by suffering or faced trials. But the apostle Paul also tells us that nothing, absolutely nothing we go through on earth can compare to what awaits us in heaven. The glorious treasures we will receive, including spending eternity with the Lord, encourages to endure the trials of today with the hope of a glorious tomorrow. And that hope becomes the fuel sustaining our endurance. For it reminds us that our current struggles are only a chapter in the larger story of redemption. Yet while it hurts to go through the storms of life, they are only temporary. God is in complete control, guiding and loving us along the way. And He promises that the trial will last only as long as He allows. In the meantime we will continue loving, obeying, and praising Him in good times and bad. Finding joy and confidence that a brighter, more glorious future is on the horizon.

October 21st – Psalm 119:105

Psalm 119:105

The Bible is full of beautiful imagery. And such is the comparison of the Word of God to a lamp guiding our every step. But more than just illuminating our path, God’s Word provides a strong faith foundation. One which gives us the stability and direction to lead a victorious life. God’s Word is a guidance in the darkness, providing direction when we are lost. It provides clarity in uncertainty, helping us making informed decisions and avoid pitfalls. In the same way a lamp reveals dangers, His Word gives us protection from danger, enabling us to walk with confidence and stability. God’s Word is a constant source of wisdom, comfort, and truth in an ever changing world. One which builds confidence in our faith. Reminding us of His promises, faithfulness, and the assurance of our salvation. In all of these wonderful ways, God’s Word is a vital tool that leads, protects, and empowers us as we navigate the challenges of life. It’s a guiding light that leads us toward a deeper understanding of God’s love and a closer walk with Him.

May 19th – Hebrews 4:16

Hebrews 4:16

When it comes to prayer, God isn’t looking for mealymouthed, wish washy, timid followers. He’s looking for strong, bold, prayer warriors. Those who know that because we are loved and accepted by God, we can come before Him anytime, anywhere, asking for anything, without fear or hesitation. But boldly coming before the Lord requires confidence, honesty, surrender, and persistence. Confidence means having unshakable faith and trust in God’s character and promises. Honesty means bringing our true selves before Him, without pretense or hiding. Surrender means knowing the Lord always knows best, seeking His guidance and direction above our own. And persistence means not giving up or being discouraged when we don’t see immediate answers or solutions. Being bold before God isn’t about being disrespectful or demanding. But reverence and humility, combined with confidence and trust in God’s goodness and faithfulness. And an invitation to approach Him with freedom, faith, and love.

June 24th – Hebrews 4:16

Hebrews 4:16

Being heirs with Jesus comes with some pretty awesome privileges. And one of them is the freedom to approach God anytime, anywhere. Because of the reconciliation we receive through the blood of Christ, no longer are we enemies of God. Instead we are His beloved children who can approach our Abba Father, not to receive judgement, but mercy. God wants us to come before Him not with fear, anxiety, or shame. But to come boldly, confident in our standing through Jesus. For He loves us like no other, and has everything we need in every situation. God wants a close, personal, relationship with each of us. And He wants to help, and love us through our trials. So go to Him in prayer, lay your heart at His feet, and receive His mighty grace and help in your time of need!
