Ephesians 2:14

In Jesus, the barriers of cultural, religious, and social divisions are torn down, forming one family where we all are equal. His sacrifice brings together both Jew and Gentile, establishing a new covenant of peace. This unity transcends historical enemies and prejudices, showing that in Jesus we are all brothers and sisters, regardless of our backgrounds. The Cross is the cornerstone that unites us, making peace possible. And not just as an ideal but as a lived reality. Through Christ’s work, we are no longer strangers or foreigners but fellow citizens with the saints and members of God’s family. This profound reconciliation redefines our relationships, with love and mutual respect as foundational principles. The unity forged in Jesus’ peace calls us to embrace one another, reflecting His grace in our lives and extending His peace to the world. How wonderful is it that through Jesus, peoples from around the world are united into one family, bonded by His love and the peace He brings.

Luke 23:46

In Luke 23:46, we witness the heart wrenching scene of Jesus’ crucifixion. The weight of our sins bore down upon Him as He hung on the Cross, enduring unimaginable physical and spiritual suffering. Yet even in His darkest hour, Jesus’ final words, “Father, into Your hands I commit my spirit,” echo with profound surrender and trust in God’s plan of redemption. And because of that surrender, through the precious blood our Savior sacrificed, we can find forgiveness and reconciliation with God. As we reflect on the depth of our Father’s love demonstrated through the Cross, our hearts overflow with gratitude and awe. Because we are reminded of the immeasurable price paid for our salvation. So how could we not respond to this amazing, undeserved gift, with lives marked by humility, obedience, and thankfulness. For truly, the Cross stands as the ultimate symbol of God’s unfathomable love and mercy, calling us to embrace the fullness of His grace and walk in the freedom it brings.

John 15:13

How beautifully perfect is it that this Valentine’s Day falls on Ash Wednesday. For as we celebrate a day of love, reflection, and repentance, we are reminded of the sacrificial love of Jesus. The best Valentine we could ever receive! So as we celebrate love in its various forms, may we remember the depth of Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. How He willingly shed His precious blood. And laid down His life for ours, as the ultimate example of selflessness and devotion. From hearts overflowing with gratitude, I pray we in turn be inspired to emulate His love not only today, but every day of the year. Being the first to extend love, kindness, and compassion to all those around us, just as Jesus did for us. May the love we share on Valentine’s Day and the repentance we seek on Ash Wednesday, reflect the transformative power of Christ’s love not just on one day, but throughout the year. Shining brightly as a beacon of hope and grace in a world in need of the redemptive love of Jesus.

Hebrews 1:3

Of the many beautiful ways Jesus is described in the Bible, this is one of my favorites. “He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.” (vs. 3) Higher than the angels, Jesus radiates God’s glory like the rays of the sun radiate its light. As the Lord Himself, He is the perfect image of the Father. And after paying our sin debt on the Cross with His precious blood, He sits at His place of honor at the right hand of God. I love how when asked about Jesus, Dr. Charles Stanley says, “Jesus is God in the flesh. He is to be worshipped as Lord, praised as Creator, recognized as Ruler, and glorified as our only Savior.” For as God Himself says of Jesus, “You are My Son.” (Heb. 1:5) And not just His Son, but His “beloved Son”. (Matt. 3:17) And as Lord and Savior of my life, Jesus too is my beloved and the One whom I adore.

Colossians 2:14

Each of us are born with an IOU. A payment of sin debt that must be paid. For God’s Law is perfect, and all have transgressed against that Law. And as such, a death warrant has been issued in our name. But because of His great love, God was willing to take our debt upon Himself. Knowing no one could be perfect enough to reconcile the wrongs against Him, God sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to pay what we cannot. He nailed His Son to a Cross of wood not just to provide us a pardon, but to pay our penalty in full. And to those who abide in Him, with His precious blood, Christ nailed our death warrant to the Cross with Him. Canceling every debt we owe forever!

Are you in the middle of a trial and feeling hopeless? Turn to Jesus. For no one understands tribulation and pain like our Savior. He is our great Overcomer, and His victory at the Cross is the proof. And to those who abide in His love and rest in grace, Christ promises peace. A perfect peace that surpasses human understanding, and one that will heal our hearts and quiet our minds. Living in a fallen world brings with it troubles. But knowing we have a mighty High Priest interceding on our behalf, gives us the strength we need to face head on any circumstance. So keep your eyes on Jesus, and through Him claim the victory that is yours!

Luke 23:43

There is a beautiful lesson we can learn from the two thieves hanging on either side of Jesus. While we are alive, it’s never too late for salvation. Because of His great love, the Lord will never turn anyone away who comes to Him in genuine faith and repentance. Whether declared early in life, or with a last breath, all who confess Jesus as their Savior will enter paradise. For His mercy is so great and His grace so plentiful, Christ accepts everyone who loves Him, regardless of the timing. And no matter who we are, all who put their faith and trust in Him, will receive everlasting life!

Hebrews 12:2 

Life is hard, and some days it can feel like we’re at the end of our ropes. The stresses and pull of the world make the race set before us difficult. But if there is any one who understands hardship, it’s Jesus. Out of His great love, He left His glorious throne in heaven to suffer at the Cross. There isn’t a trouble we have that Jesus doesn’t understand. So when we feel weak, and we can’t run another step, we can look to Him. For Christ already perfectly finished the race. And He is our endless supply of not only guidance, but our greatest source of strength.

In one of the greatest examples of love, God sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to die so that we can live. Once we were dead in sin, separated from our Father in heaven. But because of His amazing love for His children, God gave of Himself to reconcile us back to Him. Jesus came to be beaten, tortured, rejected, and nailed to a Cross to pay our sin debt in full and bring us back into fellowship with God. Through His loving sacrifice, the Lord offers us a life eternal spent by His side. And all we have to do is to say yes, and receive His gift of love and pardon.

Of all the people on the earth, God chose Israel to be His own. And from His people, He would raise up a Savior to save the world. From the beginning, Jesus knew that when He came, He would be shunned, rejected, and killed in the most horrible way. Yet He came all same. Christ left His exalted position at the Father’s side to redeem not only Israel, but all who would put their faith and trust in Him.
