Dedication

February 29th – Joshua 22:5

Joshua 22:5

Evangelist R.A. Torrey once said, “If loving God with all our heart and soul and might is the greatest commandment, then it follows that not loving Him that way is the greatest sin.” As children of God, we are called to love Him with every fiber of our being. To serve Him with unwavering dedication. And to walk in His love as a beacon of light in a world shrouded in darkness. As we embrace this sacred calling, our hearts are transformed, and our lives are filled with purpose and meaning. For there nothing greater than committing ourselves to the path of righteousness and experiencing the abundant blessings that flow from a life surrendered to the love and service of our Creator. That’s why God wants us to hold fast to His love. So He can ground us in His unchanging faithfulness, guiding us through every trial with unwavering strength. In the embrace of His love, we find refuge, assurance, and the courage to persevere, knowing that His love endures forever.

February 15th – Psalm 13:5

Psalm 13:5

In Psalm 13:5, the psalmist proclaims praise to God for His unfailing love and faithfulness, which endure forever. This verse serves as a powerful reminder of the steadfastness of God’s character and His unchanging nature. Amidst the trials and tribulations of life, we find comfort in the assurance that God’s love never falters and His commitment remains constant. His love doesn’t depend on our circumstances or merit. It’s an everlasting source of comfort and strength. As we reflect on His unfailing love and dedication, we are filled with gratitude and awe. And we can’t help but be overwhelmed by the depth of His commitment to us. In times of uncertainty, we take refuge in the knowledge that God’s love is enduring, His faithfulness unwavering. Because of all He is, all He does, and all He blesses us with, how can we not lift our voices in praise. How can we not acknowledge the greatness of God’s love and the dependability of His faithfulness, which endure for all eternity.

January 8th – Philippians 3:13-14

Philippians 3:13-14

One of my resolutions is to grow spiritually and deepen my relationship with the Lord. And that means getting into spiritual shape. Before running a race, an elite athlete puts in the work and dedication needed to condition their bodies, shedding any extra weight that will slow them down. We are elite athletes of God. And to make it to our finish line, we too must put in the work. That means shedding the mistakes and regrets that weigh us down. By having a heart willing to let go and let God, we’ll find the endurance to press on and release the weight of the past. To move toward the glorious future God has lovingly prepared for us of an eternal life spent by His side. And although moving forward isn’t always easy, it is always possible through the grace of Jesus. For in our weakness, He is strong. And it’s His strength which keeps us from getting stuck in mud of yesterday’s setbacks. So release the anchor of the past. And run with freedom, joy, and God’s wonderful promise of a hopeful and purposeful tomorrow.

August 10th- Colossians 4:2

Colossians 4:2

Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.

Paul tells us to dedicate ourselves to prayer. Why? Because prayer is our direct line of communication with God. Through prayer we talk with God, give Him the desires and sorrows of our hearts, lift up others and their needs, confess our sins, and thank Him for our blessings. By dedicating ourselves to prayer, we open the door to a deeper relationship with the Lord through intimacy and trust. And when we pray we invite God into every aspect of our lives, seeking guidance, strength, and comfort in times of need. It aligns our hearts with the Father’s will and reminds us of our dependency on Him. Regular and devoted prayer transforms our perspective. It enables us to see life’s challenges through a spiritual lens. Prayer keeps us aware of God’s presence and encourages a spirit of humility. God is always ready and anxious to hear from His children. So pray. Tell God what is in your heart and mind. He’s always listening!
