Dreams

January 15th – Psalm 37:5

Psalm 37:5

Committing our ways to the Lord sounds simple, but living it out asks for everything. It means loosening our grip on plans we’ve carefully held together, dreams we’ve prayed over, and outcomes we’ve already imagined in our hearts. It’s choosing to trust God not only with where we’re going, but with how we’ll get there. Especially when the path feels uncertain or painfully slow. Some days, committing our ways looks like confident faith. Other days, it looks like surrender through tears. I’ve learned that trusting God doesn’t remove the struggle, but it does anchor my heart when fear tries to take over. When I commit my ways to Him, I’m saying, “Lord, I don’t need to understand. I just need to trust.” And in that surrender, God gently reminds me that He is faithful to carry what I can’t. Because He sees what we do not, knows what lies ahead, and is always working for our good. Even when His timing stretches our patience and tests our faith. Committing our ways to the Lord doesn’t mean giving up hope. Instead, it means placing hope exactly where it belongs.

Reflection Question:
What part of your life are you still holding tightly instead of fully committing to the Lord?

Prayer Prompt:
Lord, help me release my plans, fears, and expectations into Your hands. Teach me to trust You even when the way forward feels unclear, and give me peace as I commit my path to You.

April20th – James 5:7

James 5:7

Waiting for spring takes great patience, as we wait for the warmth of the sun and the beautiful colors of blooming flowers and trees. Yet just as the changing seasons do so gradually, so too does God’s plan for our lives take shape in His perfect timing. In James 5:7, we are reminded of the importance of patience as we await the fulfillment of God’s promises. Like seeds planted in fertile soil, our dreams and desires require time to take root and grow. So today, let us cultivate patience as we trust in God’s sovereignty and His unwavering faithfulness. And let us embrace the season of waiting with a heart of gratitude, knowing that each moment brings us closer to the realization of the Lord’s purpose for our lives. Because as we surrender our timelines to His divine wisdom, we’ll find peace in the certainty that His plan is always greater than our own. With unwavering faith and steadfast trust, we can navigate the journey ahead. And do so trusting in God’s perfect timing, knowing all things will unfold according to His perfect will.

January 8th – Psalm 56:3

Psalm 56:3

There are many fears in the world today. And while some are real, legitimate, fears, most are rooted in the lies of the Enemy. For he knows the power he wields when we are afraid. And as cunning as he is, Satan offers ample, worldly solutions to overcoming our worries. Because for every fear and phobia, there’s a book, exercise, or yoga pose hailed as a cure. Anything and everything, except the only thing, that can truly help us defeat our fear. And that’s having a close, personal, relationship with God. Our Heavenly Father cares about every aspect of our lives. He knows our hopes, dreams, fears, and doubts. And He loves us beyond measure. So much so that every tear we cry, our Father remembers. And He wants us to face each fear hand in hand with Him and in His strength. To trust Him with every worry on our hearts, and lay our fears at His feet.

December 20th – Genesis 28:15

Genesis 28:15

When God called Jacob out of Canaan, He did so with a great promise. No matter what God would always be there, never leaving or forsaking Jacob. When God puts a dream in our hearts or a calling to step out in faith, it can be scary. Because when things don’t happen when or how we like, discouragement and self pity can set in. We can start to question God and give in to fear. But we must remember that whether we feel Him or not, God is always there. And when we put faith over fear, we can have peace. Because whatever plan God has, He will see us through from start to finish. Psalm 122:3 reminds us that our Father never slumbers, always keeping His watchful eye on us day and night. No matter what God commands us to do we can have joy and confidence knowing He has a plan for each of us. And when we put our faith in Him, the Lord with us step by step along the way!
