Faithful And True

September 4th – 2 Thessalonians 3:3

2 Thessalonians 3:3

Bible prophecy is being fulfilled at record speed before our very eyes. And many Bible scholars believe we are indeed living in the last days. Everyone can feel a shift happening. Christians are keeping their eyes on the skies, for they know their redemption draws near. Believers who may have put God on the back burner are now seeking Him with renewed interest. Even the secular world has become fascinated with what the Bible says about Armageddon. And as the return of the Lord grows closer, times will grow more evil. The fiery darts of the Enemy will fly fast and furious. For Satan knows he is living on borrowed time, and wants to inflict as much damage as he can. But like Paul, no matter how dark the world grows before the glorious dawn, we needn’t fear. Because the Lord is faithful. And until the time He calls us home, He will protect, provide, and bring good from bad.

November 14th – 2 Timothy 2:13

2 Timothy 2:13

Many are the wonderful characteristics of God. And one that we count on the most is His faithfulness, because we ourselves cannot be. In our human frailty, we disappoint, let down, and hurt the ones we love. But not God. He is always faithful, all of the time. Faithful to His promises, His love, and His justice. I once read God’s faithfulness described as the gold standard of everything great and good. I love that! We can rejoice because God forever remains faithful when His people are anything but. And it was out of that loving faithfulness that He sent His Son as a sin payment for the world. Once we receive Christ as our Savior, we are sealed in Him forever. And how thankful are we that  because we are clothed in the righteousness of Jesus, our Father cannot deny His name, His Word, or His truth. The truth that because of His faithfulness, “nothing will ever separate us the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:38–39).

June 25th – Revelation 19:11

Revelation 19:11

The theme throughout of the book of Revelation is the revealing of Jesus Christ, and the second coming of the Lord back to the earth. When Jesus came the first time, it was as the gentle Lamb on the back of a donkey. But when He returns, it will be as the Lion of Judah on the back of a white charger with eyes of fire. As a mighty Warrior with His saints at His side, Jesus comes to rule, bringing judgement with Him. And as King of kings, and Lord of Lords, Christ establishes His kingdom on earth, conquering the Evil One. Called Faithful and True, Jesus will reign with a rod of righteousness, and tread the wine press of of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty. ( Rev. 19:15)
