December 17th – John 1:14

John 1:14

Could you imagine being John? The disciple fellowshipped, lived, worked, and worshipped with our Lord. John watched how every step Jesus made, and every word He said was an example of God’s truth, grace, and glory. The evidence was clear that Christ wasn’t just His Teacher and Friend, but truly God’s only begotten Son; the  perfect Lamb sent to become the sacrifice for the sins of the world. For John, there was no denying that while He walked the earth, Jesus, who is God in the flesh, was the the perfect representation of the Father and a true reflection of His love and mercy.

1 John 1:7

There’s nothing better than standing in the light of the sun, and feeling the warmth of its rays upon our skin. But beyond the warmth, it also produces valuable Vitamin D that our bodies need to function. As Christians there’s nothing better than standing in the light of the Lord and feeling the warmth of His love and grace. When we walk in obedience to God, the fellowship we experience with Him and fellow believers nourishes our soul. And through the precious blood of Jesus, we are healed of our sins.
