1 Thessalonians 5:18

Thanksgiving has a way of slowing us down just long enough to notice the goodness we often rush past. As the table fills and familiar faces gather, we’re reminded that gratitude isn’t just a holiday tradition, it’s a posture God invites us to carry every day. God calls us to give thanks in all circumstances. And not because every moment is easy, but because He is present in every moment. Even in the seasons that feel heavy, there is always some thread of grace to hold on to. Gratitude shifts our focus, softens our hearts, and reminds us that God’s hand is steady even when life is not. Today, as we laugh, cook, and enjoy our loved ones, we are practicing the kind of thanksgiving that reaches deeper than a single day. It’s the kind that sees God’s goodness woven into both the big blessings and the quiet, hidden ones. When we choose to thank Him right where we are, we open our hearts to peace that doesn’t depend on circumstances. So as we celebrate this holiday, may we let its message follow us far beyond the table. May we remember it into tomorrow and every day after, as we live with a spirit that says, “Thank You, Lord, in all things.”

Father, on this Thanksgiving Day, help me slow down long enough to truly see Your blessings. Show me one specific thing I can thank You for today. Something that reminds me of Your goodness and draws my heart closer to You. Amen

Hebrews 10:24-25

Fellowship has a way of breathing life into weary hearts. When we gather together with other believers, whether it’s around a kitchen table, in a church pew, or in the quiet space of an online Bible study, we remind each other that we’re not alone in this journey. Knowing life is hard, God designed us to walk together. To encourage one another toward love and good deeds. The day of Christ’s return grows nearer, and now more than ever we need each other. We need prayers, voices, and the presence of others who love Jesus. A simple word of kindness, a heartfelt “I’m praying for you,” or a moment of listening can be the spark that reignites someone’s hope. Every time we choose connection over isolation, we reflect the heart of Christ. And when we come together in faith, something powerful happens. Our strength multiplies, our courage deepens, and our love becomes contagious. This is what it means to be the body of Christ. Linked arm in arm, lifting each other up as we wait for the day we’ll meet our Lord face to face.

1 John 3:2-3

There’s real power in the hope we find in Christ alone. It shapes the way we see life and how we choose to live each day. And the hope we find knowing Jesus is coming again, shifts our focus from what’s temporary to what’s eternal. We stop chasing the things that fade and start living for what will last. It’s a daily motivation to live pure, love deeply, and walk closely with Him. Every choice, every word, and every thought becomes an opportunity to reflect the One we belong to. We may not fully grasp what it will be like to see Jesus face to face, but the thought of that moment stirs something sacred within us. It calls us to live ready, keeping our oil lamps filled and lit. When we fix our eyes on the Lord’s return, distractions lose their pull and holiness becomes our heartbeat. One day, everything broken will be made whole, and we’ll finally be like Jesus. Until then, may our lives shine with hope, our hearts stay anchored in His promises, and our days be marked by the quiet anticipation of that glorious reunion.

Hosea 10:12

Planting seeds of righteousness is about the daily choices we make to live God’s way, even when it isn’t the easiest path. Just like a farmer prepares the ground, we prepare our hearts by letting God soften what has become hard or resistant to Him. Sometimes that means breaking up the “unplowed ground” of pride, fear, or old habits that keep us from fully following Him. Every act of obedience, choosing honesty, extending forgiveness, showing kindness, loving when it’s hard, is a seed planted in faith. These choices may seem small and hidden, but they grow into something eternal. And the reward is beautiful. When we sow righteousness, we reap the fruit of God’s unfailing love. His love surrounds us, strengthens us, and reminds us that He sees every effort to walk in His ways. Unlike the fleeting rewards the world offers, God’s harvest never fades. And the more we plant His truth in our lives, the more we’ll reflect His love to others. Every seed matters, because every seed planted in obedience draws us closer to Him.

Reflection Question: What “unplowed ground” in my heart might God be asking me to surrender so He can plant seeds of righteousness there?

April 9th – Matthew 21:12-13

Matthew 21:12-13

When Jesus entered the temple and overturned the tables, He wasn’t just making a statement about a building. He was revealing His zeal for holiness in the hearts of His people. Our hearts are His temple now. A sacred space meant for worship, not cluttered with distractions, selfish desires, or hidden sins. As we walk the road to Easter, we’re invited to let Him in. And not just as a guest, but as Lord.

What needs cleansing in your heart today? What tables need overturning? Are there habits, attitudes, or fears crowding out the presence of the One who gave everything for you? Sometimes the most loving thing Jesus does is confront what we’ve allowed to stay too long. His cleansing is never to shame, but to restore. He wants to make room for joy, peace, purpose, and deep communion with Him. Don’t fear His refining touch.  Because it comes with healing in His hands. Let this Easter be more than tradition, let it be transformation. Invite Him to do a holy work within you, and trust that He’s faithful to finish it.

Luke 19:10

What a beautiful truth it is to know Jesus came for the lost. He didn’t wait for us to find Him, He came looking for us. For me, and for you. Jesus stepped into our brokenness, into our wandering hearts, and said, “You’re worth saving.” His mission was never general or distant, it was personal. He knew our names, our wounds, our stories, long before we ever called out to Him.

Jesus came for the woman who’s felt unseen. He came for the man who’s run too far, And He came for the one burdened by shame and guilt. Jesus came for every soul still searching, still hoping, still wondering if they’re lovable. The truth is we were lost, and Jesus came to find us. And even now, He’s still pursuing hearts. But here’s the question I’ve been asking myself lately. Am I truly seeking Jesus daily? Not just knowing about Him, but longing to know Him more? May we not just be found by Him, but follow Him with hearts that daily seek His face, His will, and His presence. Because Jesus came for us. And He still calls us to come to Him.
