Hebrews 10:25

I once read that as Christians, our relationships should be both vertical and horizontal. Of course first and foremost is our relationship with the Lord. But our horizontal relationships with fellow believers are just as important. For God never meant the Christian walk to be a solo journey. And living in a fallen world ruled by the Enemy, means we need all the support we can get. Support from godly men and women with the same goal; living lives that glorify God. As the time for Jesus’ return grows closer, the days grow darker. That’s why the love and fellowship from Christians to encourage, edify, teach, and worship each other is so important. So we until that glorious day when we are called to be by His side, we can be the church Christ intends us to be!

The penalty of sin results in a debt that we all owe. And knowing that not one of us has the ability to pay on our own, Jesus Christ came. He came to become the only sacrifice acceptable to God and stamp our debt paid in full. With His death on the Cross, Christ provided to everyone that would believe on His name, the gift of eternal life. And now Jesus sits at the right hand of the Father waiting until it’s time to come once again. This time, Jesus returns not to offer salvation, but to come for His beloved bride. To call home those who eagerly have waited for His return. Oh how I long for that glorious day, and I cry, “Maranatha!” Come soon Lord Jesus!

The world is constantly changing. And change can be good. Especially when it comes to changing ourselves for the better. But sometimes change can bring with it pain and disappointment. Yet no matter the circumstances we face, we can find confidence knowing that one thing always remains the same. And that’s Jesus. His grace, mercy, and blessings are the same today as they have always been. For He is the eternal God whose ways are everlasting.
