Ephesians 4:32

Scottish evangelist Henry Drummond once wrote, “The greatest thing a man can do for his Heavenly Father is to be kind to His other children.”  In a world often marked by hostility, impatience, and selfishness, there seems to be a shortage of genuine kindness. But as Christians we are uniquely positioned to stand in this gap, reflecting the kindness that Christ has shown us. By spreading kindness we can make a significant impact, offering hope and healing where there is brokenness and despair. Small gestures of kindness like a comforting word, a helping hand, or a forgiving heart, can create ripples of positivity that extend far beyond our immediate reach. Our kindness is a tangible expression of God’s love, breaking down barriers and fostering connections in a hurting world. It reminds others of their great worth and the grace available to them. By becoming beacons of light, we reflect the love of Jesus and show that true strength lies in gentleness and compassion.

2 Timothy 3:1

Many people mistakenly believe that being a Christian guarantees a life of smooth sailing, free from trials and tribulations. However Jesus promised exactly the opposite. He assured us that we would face hardships, persecution, and challenges because of our faith. And as we draw closer to His return, these difficulties will intensify for followers of Christ. The world will grow increasingly hostile towards those who uphold biblical truths and live according to God’s standards. Yet despite these challenges, we are called to remain steadfast and faithful, knowing that our sufferings are not in vain. Because it’s through our trials in which our faith is refined and our dependence on God deepened. That’s why the promise of His return gives us hope and strength to endure. For Jesus has overcome the world, and He will be with us through every storm. We can trust in His unfailing love and the ultimate victory we have in Him. So as we await His return, let us cling to our faith and in the eternal glory that awaits us.

Matthew 24:6

In Matthew we are reminded that in the last days, we will hear of wars and rumors of wars. This paints a picture of a world that often feels scary and dangerous. The current wars, threats of new wars, and the violence and hostility towards those with different beliefs, all contribute to this unsettling reality. Yet as believers, we understand that these events must occur to usher in the return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. And despite the chaos around us, we find solace in the knowledge that God is always in control. Nothing happens outside of His sovereign plan, and nothing takes Him by surprise. This assurance allows us to face the turmoil with a sense of peace, knowing that God’s purposes are being fulfilled. Our faith anchors us, reminding us that even in the darkest times, God’s light shines through. We are called to trust in His timing and to remain steadfast in our hope. As we navigate these turbulent days, let us hold onto the promise of Christ’s return. And find comfort in the certainty of His ultimate victory!

Matthew 28:19-20

As the days grow short until the Lord’s return, Matthew 28:19-20 reminds us of the importance of sharing the gospel. Jesus commanded us to “go and make disciples of all nations,” and this mission becomes even more urgent as we see the signs of His imminent return. Though the world may grow increasingly hostile to Christians, our mandate remains unchanged. We must persevere in spreading the Good News of salvation, regardless of opposition. The eternal destiny of countless souls hangs in the balance, and our efforts can make a difference. Sharing the gospel isn’t just a duty. It’s an act of love and obedience to our Savior, who desires that none should perish. As ambassadors of Christ, we carry the hope and truth that the world desperately needs. Let us be steadfast and unwavering, knowing that our labor for the Lord is never in vain. Until He calls us home, let us continue to work diligently, shining His light in the darkness and proclaiming His name boldly.
