Matthew 11:28

You can be exhausted and still smile. Or be strong and still breaking inside. You can hold it together for everyone, but wonder how much longer you can keep going. Jesus sees it all. And He’s not asking you to push through. He’s inviting you to come. Not perform. Not prove. Just come. Rest isn’t just about a nap or a vacation. It’s also about emotional, mental, and spiritual restoration. And real, true rest is having a deep intimacy with the One who carries what’s too heavy for us. It’s laying your burdens down at His feet and realizing you were never meant to carry them alone. Jesus doesn’t give us rest like the world does. He is our rest. He quiets the noise, calms the chaos, and whispers peace over weary souls. When we draw near, He doesn’t scold us for our weakness. He welcomes us into grace. So today, exhale. You’re not failing for needing rest. You’re human. Let Jesus be the strong One for you. The door is open. The invitation is still good. Come and find your rest in Him.

Romans 6:18

The freedom from sin we receive through Jesus, transforms our relationship with God. It takes it from one marked by guilt and separation, to one filled with grace and intimacy. As sin’s power over us is broken, we experience a renewed ability to approach God with confidence knowing we are cleansed and forgiven. This freedom also reshapes our relationships with others, allowing us to extend grace and forgiveness. Giving the mercy to others that we ourselves have received. We become vessels of God’s love, no longer hindered by the chains of bitterness and resentment. To sustain this freedom, we can ask God for help in areas we struggle, approaching Him in prayer with honesty and humility. Admitting our weaknesses and seeking His strength helps us to resist temptation and walk in righteousness. It empowers us to live out our faith authentically, reflecting the goodness of Jesus. And to foster more meaningful relationships with God and others, grounded in His redemptive love and grace.

When we obey Jesus we grow in our relationship with Him, experiencing a deeper connection and intimacy. Our obedience is a tangible way to honor Him, reflecting His love to the world. Psalm 139:1

“O Lord, you have searched me and known me.”

There’s nothing better than having a close, intimate, relationship with God. Because He knows us better than we know ourselves. He searches and knows our hearts, thoughts, and ways. God knows every desire, every need, every hurt, and every joy. So we can trust in His deep care, understanding, and guidance in our lives. As our Creator, with His own hands, God made each of us amazingly and miraculously. (Ps. 139:13-14) That means our Father doesn’t just have a superficial awareness of us, but He intimately knows every aspect of our beings. He knows the thoughts we harbor, the words we speak, the emotions we feel, and every detail of our lives. Moreover, because of the loving and personal connection we have with the Lord, God knows us not as mere numbers or faces in a crowd but by our individual names. In a world where we often feel lost or unseen, we can find reassurance us that we are profoundly known and cherished by our Heavenly Father. This gives us a great sense of comfort, security, and significance in His divine presence.

Song of Solomon 7:10

C.S. Lewis once said, “When I have learned to love God better than my earthly dearest, I shall love my earthly dearest better than I do now.” Although not much talked about, romantic love is a blessing sent by God. The Lord wants to have a close, personal, relationship with each of us. And when we have such an intimate relationship with the Lord, we can better love others. Romantic love is a way for people to experience deep emotional and spiritual connections with one another. And romance can bring joy to people’s lives. God wants us to experience happiness and fulfillment in life, and romantic relationships can be a source of this joy. Romantic love can also lead to the creation of new life, as it is often the foundation of marriage and family. All in all, the blessing of romantic love teaches us intimacy, patience, commitment, selflessness, and respect in our relationships. It reminds us that love is not just a human experience, but also has spiritual significance and can help us grow in our relationship with God.
