No matter the circumstances, both good and bad, every day is a gift from God. And as we face this new year, and the unknown it holds, we can be sure of one thing. God is already there and in complete control. And in His great love and grace, He has allowed us to see yet another day, another month, and another year. So as each dawn rises, from thankful hearts, we should sing a new song to the Lord. A song of celebration for His faithfulness, mercy, and glory. “For great is the Lord and greatly to be praised.” (Ps. 96:4)

Everything in creation cries out in worship to God’s glory, splendor, and majesty. The heavens, earth, sea, fields, and even the trees, sing to the Lord a new song. For one day God will restore everything His hands have made to its original perfection. From the beginning, God has had His master plan in motion. And with the birth of Jesus Christ, that plan was made real before all mankind. In His amazing love, God planned to once and for all destroy evil and reconcile everything back to Himself, our great Creator!

Psalm 118:24

Life has its up and downs, and some days are better than others. But each day that we are given, is a precious gift from God. The the dawn of each day brings with it fresh opportunities. Opportunities to love another, to grow in our relationship with God, and to start anew. God never promises anyone a tomorrow, so we need to live each day as the blessing that it is. Lamentations 3 reminds us that God’s mercies are new every morning. So rejoice, be glad, and make today a great one!

How amazing is it that Almighty God, Maker all things, created each one of us! And even more amazing, it wasn’t because God is in need of anything or anyone, but instead He created us because He wants us. God gave everything to call us His own. And when we His children receive His free gift of salvation, He not only rejoices with shouts of joy, but promises to brings peace to our hearts and shelter us under His mighty wings. Thanks be to God for His great and everlasting love!
