Renewal

March 1st – Psalm 51:10

Psalm 51:10

Each of us sin and fail the Lord daily. But we serve a loving and merciful God, who offers us His never ending forgiveness and reconciliation. For when we come to Him in confession and repentance, God washes away the filth in our hearts. Cleansing us with His loving grace, God removes our sins as far as the east is from the west. (Ps. 103:12) And He promises that when we truly seek God and His will, He will renew in us an unmovable and unshakable spirit dedicated to Him.

January 23rd – Ezekiel 36:26

Ezekiel 36:26

When we receive Jesus as our Savior, a remarkable thing begins to happen. The Holy Spirit comes to indwell us and begins His remodeling project. He breaks down the walls of our fleshly, sinful hearts, and begins a transformation. The old is thrown away and the new begins to take shape. The Spirit cleanses our sin and renews our minds, allowing our souls to become joyful reflections of our Savior.  And all this is possible through the life, death, and sacrifice of the One who gave all to call us His, Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God!

January 20th – Ephesians 4:22-24

Ephesians 4:22-24

Our goal as Christians should be to use every day and it’s experiences to become more like Jesus. That means with each new morning, we need to let go of our sinful, worldly, desires and behaviors. We do this by praying that God will strip away the old and give us new hearts and new natures focused on leading lives for His glory. The Christian walk isn’t a sprint, but rather a marathon. An ongoing renewal of our minds and lives. And like Paul, we need to work hand in hand with the Holy Spirit to transform us into mirror images of Christ.
