Philippians 3:13

And  the great apostle Paul knew the importance of pressing on and the difficulty of reaching the finish line. For along the way we have setbacks, and feel the pull of fleshly living. But no matter the circumstances we face, we need to keep striving forward. For our reward is far greater than anything we could ever face in this world. The trophy we receive is not only seeing our Savior face to face, but spending an eternity by His side!

Philippians 3:14

As Christians God sets a goal for each of us. And that is to run with perseverance the race marked out for us” (Hebrews 12:1). Each race is unique to each believer, but the objective is the same. We are all called to live lives of faithful obedience. We are to work for the betterment of God’s kingdom right up until that glorious moment when our Father calls us home. That means no dwelling on the mistakes of the previous day, but starting each new day fresh, forgiven, and ready to report to work for the Lord. And we do all of this for the unmerited and magnificent prize of Jesus Christ Himself!
