Matthew 21:19

They waved palm branches high, shouting “Hosanna!” as Jesus entered Jerusalem, hearts full of expectation and excitement. The crowd welcomed Him like a King. But their idea of a king was one of power, not sacrifice. Days later, those same voices that praised Him turned to cries of “Crucify Him!” It’s easy to cheer for Jesus when life is good, when He’s doing what we expect. But what about when He doesn’t meet our expectations? When following Him requires surrender, sacrifice, and faith in the unseen?

Praise should flow from a heart committed, not just in moments of blessing, but in seasons of pain and confusion. As Easter draws near, we must ask ourselves this. Do I follow Jesus with my whole heart, or only when it’s easy? Am I a true disciple or just part of the crowd? He gave everything for us. Will we give our all for Him? This Holy Week, let our hosannas come from a place of deep love and unwavering devotion. Let them echo not just on Sunday, but every day we choose to follow our Savior.

Easter reminds me that I don’t have to walk through life blindly, weighed down by fear, confusion, or shame. There was a time when everything felt dark. Like I was stumbling through the unknown, trying to hold it all together. But then Jesus met me in that place. He didn’t remove every hard thing, but He gave me something greater. He gave me His presence, His peace, and a path forward. His love lit up the places in me I thought would always stay broken. And that changes everything.

Easter isn’t just a celebration, it’s a turning point. It’s the moment death lost its grip and hope took its place. Because He lives, I can face anything with courage. His light still shines, and I want to follow it every day. If you’re struggling in the dark, you’re not alone. There’s a Savior who sees you, loves you, and is ready to lead you into a life full of purpose, peace, and joy. His light never flickers or fades. So today, let’s rise, walk forward, and shine with the hope we’ve been given.

Could you imagine standing in that crowd, hearing John announce the arrival of Jesus? Christ wasn’t just another teacher or prophet. He was the sacrifice, the fulfillment of every promise, and the answer to every longing. From the moment sin entered the world, we were separated from God, lost and unable to save ourselves. But God, in His great mercy, sent Jesus the perfect Lamb, to take our place. On the Cross, He bore our shame, our guilt, and our punishment. And when He declared, “It is finished,” the weight of our sin was lifted forever. Easter is more than a holiday. It’s our rescue story. It’s the reminder that we don’t have to carry our past, failures, or our burdens anymore. The Lamb of God has already taken them. Because of Jesus, grace wins. Because of Jesus, we are free. This Easter, let’s stand in awe of the One who gave everything to bring us back to God. Thank You, Jesus, for being the Lamb who takes away the sin of the world, including mine.

John 1:14

The miracle of Easter didn’t begin at the empty tomb. It began when God Himself stepped into our world. Because of His great love, Jesus chose to walk among us, feel our pain, experience our struggles, and love us up close. He isn’t a distant Savior. He’s present, real, and near. And Easter is the beautiful reminder that God came for us. Not because we deserved it, but because His love wouldn’t leave us lost in our sin.

When Jesus took the Cross, He carried our shame, failures, and every burden we couldn’t bear. He took it all so that we could know freedom. And when He rose, He shattered every chain that tried to hold us down. The tomb is empty, and that changes everything. No matter how broken we feel, Jesus meets us in our mess. Just as He did when He walked this earth. Because of Easter, we are no longer defined by sin, but by grace. We are no longer bound by death, but alive in His victory. Today, let’s hold on to this truth. We are loved beyond measure, redeemed beyond reason, and free because of Jesus.

Week 2 – Finding Hope in God (Jeremiah 29:11)

As we approach the last days before Jesus’ glorious return, the world around us seems to be sinking deeper into darkness and sin. And instead of moving closer to God, the world keeps pushing Him away. No wonder these times can feel increasingly disheartening. But for those of us who have received Jesus as our Savior, we need not succumb to despair or hopelessness. Our Heavenly Father has promised us a future filled with hope and purpose. His plans for us are not changed by the chaos and moral decline we witness in society. Instead, we can take comfort and find strength in knowing that God is in control and has a divine plan for our lives. Our faith in Jesus anchors us amidst the turbulence, providing us with an unshakeable hope. By holding onto His promises, we can navigate these dark times with confidence and peace, assured that God’s wonderful plans for us are unfolding, even now. Leading us towards a future bright with His eternal love and glory.

The apostle Paul explains the purpose of God’s Law, revealing that it was never meant to save us. Instead, it demonstrates our inability to keep it flawlessly. The Law acts as a mirror, reflecting our imperfections and showing that even a single transgression makes us guilty of breaking the entire law. This stark reality underscores our desperate need for a Savior. Someone who can bridge the gap between God’s holiness and our sinfulness. Jesus Christ is that Savior, the only one who has perfectly fulfilled the Law. Through His life, death, and resurrection, He offers us freedom from the bondage of sin and the penalty of death. In Him, we find grace and redemption, not through our own efforts, but through His perfect obedience and sacrifice. This profound truth shifts our focus from striving to earn salvation, to embracing the gift of grace offered through faith in Christ. It’s through Him that we receive the righteousness we could never attain on our own, underscoring the transformative power of God’s love and mercy.

Author Elizabeth George once said, “It’s easy to talk about how much you love God, but loving others reveals how much you truly do.” To love others as Jesus love us we can start by practicing empathy, truly listening to and understanding the needs and feelings of others. Acts of kindness, no matter how small, can brighten someone’s day and show them they are valued. Forgiving as Jesus forgives us is another crucial aspect. Along with serving others, for it reflects Christ’s servant heart. Encouragement through offering words of affirmation and support, can uplift those who are struggling. Also, being available for those in need, showing patience during difficult times, and praying for others are powerful ways to demonstrate Christ-like love. Ultimately, our love should be unconditional. One which expects nothing in return, and mirrors the boundless love that Jesus gives to us. By loving others as our precious Savior loves us, we fulfill His commandment and make His love visible to the world.

Jesus gives us a beautiful promise. He is busy right now, preparing a place for us in His Father’s house. This promise fills us with hope and joyful anticipation, knowing that one day He will return to take us to our eternal home. Each room in this divine dwelling is handcrafted by our Savior Himself, reflecting His boundless love and care for us. As we go about our daily lives, we are called to live with this joyous expectation, letting it shape our thoughts and actions. The reality of our future home with Jesus gives us strength to endure trials and inspires us to spread His love and grace. We can look forward to a day when pain and sorrow will be no more, and we will dwell in perfect peace and joy with our Lord. This heavenly moving day will be the moment when all of God’s promises are fulfilled. Until then, we live with hearts full of hope, eagerly awaiting the return of our Savior. Knowing our Lord is preparing a place for us is a source of great comfort, and urges us to stay faithful and focused on our heavenly destination.

People like to say that the tongue is the strongest muscle of the body. And because the Lord knows the profound power and danger of the tongue, He gives a warning. One day we will each give an account for every careless word we speak. Our words can build up or tear down, heal or hurt. They reflect the state of our hearts and can have lasting impacts on others. In a world filled with anger, division, and hostility, it’s crucial to be mindful of our speech. Careless words can spread negativity, falsehoods, and pain, while thoughtful words can inspire, encourage, and bring peace. As followers of Jesus, we must strive to speak with wisdom, kindness, and truth. Our conversations should reflect His love and grace, building others up rather than tearing them down. By doing so, we honor God and demonstrate the transformative power of His Spirit in our lives. As we await His return, let us commit to using our tongues to glorify Him and edify those around us, knowing that every word matters in the eyes of our Savior.

Yet living in a world filled with wickedness, uncertainty, and turmoil can be hard. But Romans 8:23-25 reminds us that our hope is firmly anchored in the promise of Christ’s return. Despite the hurts and setbacks we face along our journey, let us cling to this hope. A hope which shines brighter than any darkness. Our redemption draws near, and with it the fulfillment of every promise spoken by God. As we navigate through a darkened world, let us wait patiently and expectantly, for He who promised is faithful beyond measure. Though the storms may rage and the seas may churn, our hope remains unwavering, rooted in the unchanging character of our Savior.
