Secure

January 19th – John 16:33

John 16:33

On this side of heaven, a trouble-free life was never promised. In fact, Jesus told us plainly that hardship, sorrow, and trials would be part of our journey. Especially if we choose to follow Him. There will be moments when life feels heavy, unfair, and overwhelming. And there will be seasons when peace seems distant and fragile. We may wonder why the road is so hard or why relief doesn’t come sooner.

Yet Jesus didn’t stop with the warning. He also gave us a promise filled with hope. He reminded us that He has already overcome the world. He’s overcome every struggle in it, and every fear that tries to undo us. Because of that truth, we don’t have to live defeated or ruled by fear. In Christ, we are offered a deep, steady peace that does not depend on circumstances. A peace the world cannot give and cannot take away. Even in the middle of trouble our hearts can rest knowing the battle has already been won. And our Savior walks with us through every storm, holding us securely in His love.

Reflection Question:
Where in your life do you need to lean into the peace Jesus promises, rather than focusing on the trouble around you?

Prayer Prompt:
Lord Jesus, You see the struggles I face and the weight they place on my heart. Thank You for overcoming this world and offering me a peace that cannot be shaken. Help me trust You in the middle of my trials and rest in the victory You have already won. Amen.

December 17th – Ephesians 2:22

Ephesians 2:22

At Christmas, we celebrate the moment Jesus stepped into the world as the foundation of everything God was building. He came quietly and humbly, yet strong enough to hold every life together. God’s church isn’t just a place we gather, it’s made up of people. And each one is intentionally placed and deeply valued. To God, every heart matters, and every story has purpose. That’s why He sent Jesus. For He is the steady center that aligns us, supports us, and gives us meaning. Without Him, things feel scattered and unsure. But with Him, we are held firm. Christmas reminds us that God longs to dwell with His people, not from afar, but right in the middle of our lives. Each person brings something unique and necessary to what He is creating. No one is extra. No one is forgotten. Together, we become a living reflection of His love. We are being shaped side by side, strengthened by grace. And because Christ came, we are connected, secure, and forever part of what God is building.

Reflection Question:
How can you embrace your place in what God is building and allow Jesus to be the steady center of your life, especially during this Christmas season?

Prayer Prompt:
Lord, thank You for sending Jesus to be the foundation that holds us together. Help me trust my place in Your work, value the role You’ve given me, and live in a way that reflects Your love. May my life be firmly centered on Christ and used for Your glory.

April 28th – 1 Peter 1:3-4

1 Peter 1:3-4

Because of God’s great mercy, we have been given a living hope. A hope that can never be shaken or stolen. Easter reminds us that through Jesus’ resurrection, we are born again into a life that is anchored not in what fades, but in what lasts forever. The empty tomb isn’t just a story we celebrate, it’s the doorway to our new beginning. Every disappointment, heartache, and shattered dream now bows to the hope that Jesus secured for us. In Him, our future is bright, our inheritance secure, and our souls are anchored beyond the reach of death and decay. When the world feels unstable, we can stand firm, knowing that heaven is our true home. This living hope breathes life into our weary places and courage into our fearful hearts. Easter is more than a holiday. It’s the celebration of a promise kept and a future guaranteed. Today, lift your eyes. Your hope is alive because your Savior lives. You are loved, you are chosen, and you are held by the One who conquered the grave.

August 23rd – Romans 8:38-39

Week 4 – Living In God’s Love (Romans 8:38-39)

We often worry about the surety of our salvation, haunted by the lingering effects of sin, guilt, or shame. These doubts can lead us to fear that God might withdraw His love or take away His promise of an eternity spent by His side. But in Romans 8:38-39, Paul gives us a profound assurance. There is nothing, absolutely nothing, that can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Neither death nor life, angels nor demons, the present nor the future, nor any powers, height, depth, or anything else in all creation can sever us from His love. This isn’t just a comforting thought, it’s a divine guarantee. God’s love for us is unshakeable, unbreakable, and eternal. Our salvation isn’t dependent on our own strength, but secure in the hands of God. No matter what trials or temptations we face, we can rest in the certainty that God’s love will never fail us. This truth allows us to live with confidence and peace, knowing that nothing in the universe can ever take us away from the embrace of our loving Father.

Questions For Reflection –

  1. How can we strengthen our trust in God’s unbreakable love, allowing Romans 8:38-39 to calm our fears and doubts about our salvation?
  1. In what ways can we live more confidently and boldly, knowing that nothing can separate us from the love of God as promised in Romans 8:38-39?

God’s love is a forever kind of love. Nothing can ever come between us. 🙏🏻❤️

July 25th – Romans 8:38-39

Romans 8:38-39

Pastor Woodrow Kroll once said, “With the power of God within us, we need never fear the powers around us.” One of the greatest weapons the Enemy wields is fear. Fear that we are unlovable, too dirty, too sinful, or too broken to be of any value to God. This fear can paralyze us, keeping us trapped in insecurity and self-doubt. But the apostle Paul’s powerful affirmation dispels these lies, reminding us of our irreplaceable value to God. His unbreakable faithfulness assures us that nothing in existence can sever His love for us. This divine assurance liberates us from fear and insecurity, grounding us in the truth of God’s unwavering love. When we internalize this truth, we find the courage to overcome Satan’s lies, embracing our identity as beloved children of God. God’s steadfast love transforms our fears into faith, empowering us to live confidently and purposefully. In Christ we are eternally secure, cherished, and valued beyond measure. And free to fulfill our God-given destiny without fear holding us back.
