Sharing The Gospel

November 23rd – Titus 2:13-14

Titus 2:13-14

I am thankful that Jesus is my blessed hope

AW Tozer once said, “Let us be alert to the season in which we are living. It is the season of the Blessed Hope, calling for us to cut our ties with the world and build ourselves on this One who will soon appear. He is our hope; a Blessed Hope enabling us to rise above our times and fix our gaze upon Him.” I truly believe we are living in the last days, and Jesus could return at any minute. But while we wait for the blessed hope of the Lord’s return, we have work to do. Not only are we to continue spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ, we are also to continue working on ourselves. We do this by rejecting the values of the world, and leading sensible, righteous, and godly lives. Each day could be the day of the glorious return of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Are you ready? Do not take for granted that you have tomorrow for as Jesus warns, “Be on guard! Be alert! You do not know when that time will come!” (Mark 13:33)

November 1st – Romans 1:16

Romans 1:16

I’m thankful for the Gospel of Jesus Christ

When the apostle Paul was in Rome, he boldly, and publicly declared how he wasn’t ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ. And even bolder still, he wasn’t afraid to share that gospel with others. Because not only is it a privilege to carry on the work of Jesus and share His message, as the only one true gospel it has the power to save lives. So how about you? Are you ashamed of the gospel? Before you answer, let me ask you this? I once read to live unashamed of the gospel means we proclaim it, but we also show our belief in it through our actions and how we live our life. We cannot talk the talk and not walk the walk. For that makes our testimony useless and us no better than a Pharisee. Paul’s life choices supported his message. He did not preach one thing and live another. Instead he lived a life of obedience and represented God with bravery and enthusiasm. And out of thankfulness for sacrifice of Jesus, we should do the same!

September 22nd – 2 Timothy 2:15

2 Timothy 2:15

Paul was all about winning souls for Jesus. Though he was imprisoned, shipwrecked, stoned, and left for dead, Paul never lost his faith, or desire to please God. I want that kind of boldness. To have the heart of a lion, fearlessly responding to God’s calling regardless of the circumstances. Because sadly, there have been situations when instead of sharing the Gospel, I remained silent from fear of being ridiculed, rejected, or challenged. Other times I’ve shared the Gospel too aggressively or pompously. I looked down my nose at those who didn’t agree with my beliefs or immediately want to reconcile themselves to God. But not Paul. Even though he was bold, he was also kind. Because Paul understood the importance of representing Jesus. Meaning sharing the message of God’s redeeming love with courage, love, grace, and humility. And that’s how I want to share the the Gospel. In a confident, loving, respectful way, doing all for God’s glory!

August 26th – Luke 6:24

Luke 6:24

No matter how much it may appear that someone’s life is full of prosperity, it means nothing if they haven’t accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Because material things may fill our lives but can never fill our hearts. Nor can they provide the comfort and peace of resting in the eternal promises of Jesus. That’s why it’s so important we as Believers, are sharing the gospel. And not just because Jesus commands us to “go and make disciples of all nations.” (Matt. 28:19) But also out of kindness, compassion, and love. There are many who are hurting, empty, and lost in this world. Those desperately in search of hope and happiness. We have the great privilege of being able to share with them the “Good News” they are seeking. Everyone of us has a unique testimony to give. And you never know if yours is the one God will use to help one of His lost find their way home!
