Matthew 12:30

Jesus reminds us that there is no middle ground when it comes to following Him. We can’t divide our hearts between God and the world. He calls us to love Him completely with our thoughts, our words, our choices, and our lives.

Loving God completely doesn’t mean we’ll never stumble or make mistakes. It means He becomes the greatest desire of our hearts. We begin to care more about pleasing Him than pleasing people. We choose His truth over the world’s opinions, His ways over our own, and His will over our comfort.

When we truly love God, it changes how we live. It affects how we speak to others, how we forgive, how we spend our time, and how we respond when life becomes difficult. Our faith is no longer something we practice only on Sundays, it becomes the foundation of everything we do.

None of us loves God perfectly, but every day we have another opportunity to grow closer to Him. As we spend time in His Word, talk with Him in prayer, and walk in obedience, our love for Him deepens. May our lives reflect hearts that are fully devoted to the One who first loved us.

Matthew 11:28

We live in a world that celebrates being busy. Many of us rush from one responsibility to the next, feeling like there’s never enough time to slow down. We push through exhaustion, weariness, and stress, convincing ourselves we’ll rest “someday.” But our bodies aren’t the only thing that grows tired, our souls do too.

Jesus knew we would become weary. That’s why He lovingly invites us, “Come to Me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” This isn’t just about getting more sleep or taking a day off. It’s about finding a deep, lasting rest that only He can give.

When we bring our burdens, worries, and weariness to Jesus, He replaces our striving with His peace. He reminds us that we don’t have to carry life’s weight by ourselves. In His presence, anxious hearts find calm, weary souls find strength, and restless minds find peace.

If you’ve been running on empty, let today be a reminder to pause and spend time with the One who refreshes your soul. True rest isn’t found in doing less. Instead, it’s found in resting in the love, care, and promises of God. And that kind of rest is available to everyone who comes to Him in faith.

John 6:35

Every Christmas, I find myself in the kitchen making my favorite cranberry bread, filling the house with the warm, sweet smell of the baked goodness. Fresh bread can fill a hungry stomach, but it doesn’t touch the deeper hunger in our hearts. That’s where Jesus meets us. He calls Himself the Bread of Life because He alone can nourish our souls. At Christmas, our tables are full, our recipes are special, and our treats are festive. But none of those can truly satisfy us the way His presence can. We can enjoy the sweetness of tradition without making it our source of peace. I’ve learned that when I sit with Him, even for a quiet moment, my anxious thoughts settle and my heart feels full. The world offers plenty of things that look satisfying, but they fade. Jesus doesn’t fade. He sustains, strengthens, and satisfies in a way nothing else can. The more I taste of His goodness, the more I realize He’s what I was hungry for all along. And that’s what makes Christmas so meaningful to me. It’s not just about what’s on the table, but Who is at the center of it all.

Reflection Question:
What am I trying to let fill my heart this season, and how can I make more room for Jesus to truly satisfy me?

Prayer Prompt:
Lord, I thank You for being the Bread of Life and for filling the places in me that nothing else can reach. Help me to stop chasing things that only satisfy for a moment and turn my heart fully toward You. Teach me to hunger for Your presence more than anything else, and let Your peace and joy fill me as I walk with You this season. Amen.

Maybe you’ve been labeled, misunderstood, or wounded by rejection so deep it made you question your worth. God sees that pain. And He speaks straight into it: “I will restore you to health and heal your wounds… because you are called an outcast, Zion for whom no one cares” (Jeremiah 30:17).

You are not forgotten. Not abandoned. Not beyond repair. Where others have cast you off, God draws you near. Where the world says “unworthy,” He whispers “beloved.” God’s healing runs deeper than just physical wounds. It touches the heart, the identity, and the soul. You may feel broken, but He calls you whole. You may feel overlooked, but He calls you His. This is the God who takes the outcast and gives them a seat at His table. The God who rewrites the story others tried to erase. Hold on, friend. Healing is coming. Restoration is on its way. And in God’s love, you are never an outcast. You are chosen.

Did you know self care is an 11 billion dollar industry? Everywhere we go we are in inundated with a miracle pill, potion, meditation, or exercise. But the best care for our mind, souls, and body doesn’t cost a thing. It’s a free gift offered by God to those who rest in the Lord. An invitation in the hustle and bustle of life to take a moment to pause and surrender our burdens at His feet. Because resting in the Lord isn’t just a physical break, but a spiritual renewal. A chance to exchange our weariness for His yoke, which is easy, and His burden, which is light. Resting in the Lord’s embrace allows our souls to breathe, rejuvenating our spirits and preparing our hearts for the days ahead. It’s an acknowledgment that true strength is found in the quiet moments of communion with Him, where His peace sustains us through life’s journey. So in a world that advocates self care, the greatest comfort is found not in the noise of the world but in the quiet rest of the soul. Where the gentle embrace of the Lord becomes the ultimate form of care.

When asked what the greatest commandment was, Jesus’ answer was simple. Love. Love for God followed by love for others. Because love is the fulfillment of the law, and the very foundation of the gospel. “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life.” (John 3:16) Out of overflowing hearts of thankfulness, how can we not love God with our entire mind, bodies, and souls! For to Him only goes the glory and it is He who alone is worthy of our worship and devotion!
