November 11th – Psalm 107:8

Psalm 107:8

How wonderful is our God! He truly is our Father! As His beloved children, God provides and cares for our every need. And not just our physical needs, but also our heart and soul. He gives us nourishment, refreshment, healing, and guidance. From the great to the small, God cares about every area of our lives. And just like He rescued and made Israel His own, God longs to do the same for us and, “supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” (Phil. 4:19) Oh how thankful I am for His love and to Him goes the glory forever and ever!

November 8th – Hebrews 13:15

Hebrews 13:15

Do you ever wonder what it means to offer up a “sacrifice of praise” to Jesus? When it comes to praise, it’s easy to rejoice and give thanks to God when we get what we want. But what about when we don’t? Do we still thank Him when His answer to prayer is no? Do we rejoice when we see another’s blessing while waiting on our own? To offer up a sacrifice of praise means, despite disappointment, to have a heart filled with gratitude and lips which speak words of thankfulness for the goodness, grace, and love of God.

November 6th – 2 Corinthians 9:15

2 Corinthians 9:15

The best gifts are those that come from the heart. And there’s no better gift we could ever receive, than the one God offers to each of us. Once we were separated from God because of sin. But out of His great love He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to purchase our pardon through His shed blood and resurrection. Imagine that! God loves us so much, that He sacrificed His Son to reconcile us back to Him. And through that sacrifice the Lord offers us the gift of salvation, and a eternity spent in paradise at the side of the Master!

November 4 – 1 Thessalonians 5:18

1 Thessalonians 5:18

It’s easy to thank God during the good times, but what about the bad? Although trials are never easy, God wants us to be able to find gratitude in each tribulation we face. But how do we thank Him when it feels as though our tears will never dry, our hearts will never heal, and our circumstance will never change? On our own it’s impossible. But in the strength of Jesus, the impossible becomes possible. When we walk with the Lord and lay all things at His feet, we can not only thank God in all things, we can also experience the peace and joy of knowing everything is in the perfect hands of God who loves us most!

November 3rd – Colossians 4:2

Colossians 4:2

Paul tells us to dedicate ourselves to prayer. Why? Because prayer is our direct line of communication with God. Through prayer we talk with God, give to Him the desires and sorrows of our hearts, lift up others and their needs, confess our sins, and thank Him for our blessings. Prayer is a gift from God. And the more we pray, the closer to God we grow and the stronger our relationship with Him becomes. So pray. Tell God what is in your heart and mind. He’s always listening!
