Ephesians 5:15-16

Time is one of the most precious gifts God has placed in our hands, yet it often slips away unnoticed. The days pass quickly, reminding us how fragile and fleeting life can be. Each sunrise whispers a gentle invitation to live with purpose. To wake up and remember that every moment truly matters. Our choices today ripple far beyond this moment. They carry eternal weight. Maybe it’s choosing grace when it’s hard or inconvenient. Or pausing long enough to pray for someone who’s hurting. Maybe it’s forgiving, even when it still aches deeply. Or simply slowing down to thank God for breath and beauty.

We don’t control how many days we’re given on this earth, but we can choose how we spend the ones placed before us. When we live intentionally for Christ, even ordinary moments become holy. Love becomes worship, kindness becomes ministry, and gratitude becomes testimony. Each moment is a chance to shine His light in a dark world. Every conversation, every act of love, every step of obedience plants a seed for eternity.

2 Corinthians 9:6

Generosity is like planting seeds, and God reminds us that what we sow will one day grow. If we sow sparingly, holding back our time, love, or resources, we can’t expect a harvest that overflows. But when we choose to give freely, trusting God, He multiplies it in ways we could never imagine. Sometimes we hold on so tightly to what we have, afraid we won’t have enough, but when our hands are clenched shut, they’re too full to receive the blessings God wants to give. Living generously isn’t just about money. It’s about giving our attention, offering encouragement, sharing kindness, and opening our lives to others. The harvest may not always look like a bigger bank account, but it shows up as peace in our spirit, contentment in our soul, joy that spills over, and relationships that grow richer. God doesn’t measure our generosity by the amount, but by the heart behind it. When we give with love and trust, we’re planting seeds that last for eternity. And every seed of generosity becomes an opportunity to look more like Jesus, the One who gave everything for us.

Reflection Question: How can I open my hands this week to live generously with my time, my words, or my resources, trusting God to provide?

Week 2 – Wisdom In Finances (Proverbs 21:20)

Solomon, who had everything anyone could want, reminds us that, “the wise store up choice food and olive oil, but fools gulp theirs down.” In a world where instant gratification and excess are celebrated, good stewardship stands as a mark of wisdom. Instead of consuming everything we have as soon as we receive it, wisdom encourages us to guard our resources carefully. This applies not only to our material possessions but also to our time, energy, and talents. Using resources wisely honors God, acknowledging that everything we have is a gift from Him. By practicing restraint and thoughtful planning, we ensure that our provisions are sufficient for today and the future. When we succumb to the world’s pull towards indulgence and gluttony, we lose sight of the greater good, leaving ourselves and those around us vulnerable. Being intentional and disciplined with what we are given enables us to be generous and prepared. And it aligns our actions with God’s principles of stewardship.

Questions For Reflection –

  1. How can we practice better stewardship of the resources God has entrusted to us, especially in a culture that promotes instant gratification?
  1. In what areas of our lives can we show more wisdom by planning and saving rather than consuming everything immediately?

Week 3 – Embracing Renewal (2 Corinthians 4:16-18)

In today’s world, billions of dollars are spent each year on trying to stop the aging process. People plump, cut, and stuff their bodies, all in the hopes of looking younger and defying the inevitable march of time. While society views youth as a treasure, Scripture reminds us that aging is actually a privilege. A testament to the gift of every day that God grants us. With each wrinkle and grey hair, we are reminded of the life we’ve lived and the wisdom we’ve gained. Yet, there’s no denying that aging can be hard. Muscles weaken, eyesight dims, and our bodies gradually lose the vitality they once had. But even as our outer selves waste away, something far more significant is happening within us. Inwardly, we are being renewed day by day for an eternal glory that far outweighs the physical decline we experience. Though our bodies may age, our spirits are being shaped and refined for something much greater. A true beauty perfected by the Lord for all eternity.

Questions For Reflection –

  1. How can we shift our focus from the temporary challenges of aging and physical decline to the eternal renewal of our inner selves, as described in 2 Corinthians 4:16-18?
  1. In what ways can we embrace the process of aging as an opportunity to deepen our faith and prepare for the eternal glory that God is working in us, rather than solely focusing on preserving our outward appearance?

Matthew 25:21

I long to see so many things when I get to heaven. Most of all to behold the face of my beloved Savior, Jesus Christ. And what my heart would burst to hear is my Lord saying, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” In Matthew 25:21, we are reminded of the critical importance of faithful stewardship as we await Jesus’ return. Our Master commands us to wisely use our time, talents, and resources, investing them in the work of God’s kingdom. As we labor in service to the Lord, we are called to maximize what He has entrusted to us, whether great or small. Each day is an opportunity to sow seeds of faith, kindness, and generosity, working for God’s eternal harvest. And obedience to our calling is both a reflection of our love for the Lord and our commitment to His purposes. So let us not grow weary or lose heart. For no efforts are never in vain when done for His glory. And one day we will hear those cherished words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”

Proverbs 3:10

God loves to bless us abundantly. And He does so with the intention that we in turn, will use what He gives to help others. For just as He told Abram, we are blessed to be a blessing. (Gen. 12:1-3) That’s why it’s important to have a heart that embraces stewardship and generosity. Being mindful to use God’s blessings not only for our own needs, but also for the greater good. As Christians we no longer live under the law but under grace. That means we are no longer legally required to tithe. But it doesn’t mean we shouldn’t. Because everything we have is from God and belongs to Him. And out of gratitude for all He is, does, and blesses us with, we should eagerly want to give back to Him. Whether it’s money, time, service, or prayer, we all have something to give. Something we can use to be instruments of God and bless another. We can’t out-give God. And He promises that the more we use our blessings to help others, the greater our blessings will be! So give and give so more. And watch the blessings flow!

Colossians 4:5

“Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of the time.”

Many agree that we are indeed living in the last days. And at anytime we could hear the call of Jesus. Time is running out. And as believers, we are called to be vigilant and wise stewards of the time we have left. Each second God gives us on this earth is to be used to advance His kingdom and for His glory. To live out our God given purpose. And to spread far and wide the saving message of Jesus Christ. Every moment is a gift, and we are entrusted with the responsibility to use it wisely. That means demonstrating love, compassion, and grace to all we meet. Being salt and light to a desperate world, striving for personal spiritual growth, and a closer relationship with the Lord. The impending return of Jesus calls us to prioritize eternal values over worldly pursuits. And to live with a sense of urgency and purpose. So let us grab hold of the remaining time to live faithfully, serve wholeheartedly, and shine brightly as we await the glorious return of our Savior.

To Abide Is To Surrender – John 15

John 15

As disciples of Christ, don’t we all want to glorify God with our words and actions? To do as the Lord commands and bare fruit? And not just a little fruit, but much fruit? Jesus tells us that without Him this is impossible saying, “for apart from Me you can do nothing.” (vs. 5) For Jesus is the vine and we His followers the branches. And unless we abide in Him, our branch will be fruitless.

“Bearing fruit in the Christian life is not about doing works or attempting righteousness in our own strength. Rather, it is about intentionally growing in our walk with Christ, inviting the Holy Spirit’s work of transformation in us, and actively obeying God in all He calls us to do. As we seek Him and lay down our own fleshly desires for His better ways, we will bear lasting fruit and serve as salt and light to a world in need of Jesus.”…CompellingTruth.org

“Abide in Me and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me.” (vs. 4) Just as the vine provides the life source for the branches, Christ is the life source for each of us. To abide in Him means living in Jesus and Jesus living in and through us. Any hope we have of producing fruitful lives that glorify God can come only through abiding in the Lord. And abiding happens through surrendering.

Surrender Control-“I know, O LORD, that a man’s way is not in himself, nor is it in a man who walks to direct his steps.” (Jer. 10:23) Abiding in God means coming before the Lord with a humble heart, dependent upon Him for all things at all times. It is acknowledging that as Ruler and Creator of everything, God knows best, and it is for Him alone to establish our path.

Surrender Time-“He shall write for himself a copy of this law, it shall be with him and he shall read it all the days of his life.” (Deut. 17:17,18) Abiding in God means setting aside time each day to read His Word. Intentionally studying the Bible opens our hearts to the Lord, and keeps us firmly planted in His truth;  giving us the discernment needed to fight off attacks from the Enemy.

Surrender Disobedience-“The one who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. We know by this that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.” (1 John 3:24) Abiding in God means obeying all He commands. Obedience not only  brings us closer to Him, it’s proof of our devotion and faithfulness. It deepens and strengthens our relationship with the Lord through love, trust, and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

Surrender Striving-“Be still and know I am God.” (Ps. 46:10) Abiding in God means to stop fighting. When trouble comes and the storm rages, the best action we can take is to stand still. By remembering who God is and trusting Him to do what He says He will, His calming presence and peace will  fill and ease our distressed hearts.

Some people think that surrender is a form of weakness, but nothing could be further from the truth. Stepping out in faith and laying everything at the feet of Jesus takes great personal strength. But when we do, we’ll find the more we give up of ourselves, the fuller we become of God. So abide in the love of Jesus. Surrender all to the One who gave all for you. Let His love and peace reign in your heart and fill it to overflowing with joy!
