Romans 12:2

The Bible warns us that as the days grow darker, the world will be like in the days of Noah. A time when wickedness was increasing and people had turned their hearts away from God. When we look around at the world today, it’s easy to see we are living in such a time.

That’s why staying close to God and grounded in His Word is more important than ever. Every day, we’re surrounded by voices telling us what to believe, how to live, and what’s right and wrong. Not every voice speaks truth. And if we aren’t filling our minds with God’s truth, we can easily begin believing the world’s lies without even realizing it.

But when we spend time in Scripture, pray, and seek the Lord, He transforms the way we think. His truth helps us recognize lies, know what’s pleasing to Him, and to stand firm on His promises. We don’t have to be afraid of the darkness. We simply need to keep our eyes on the Light.

So as the world grows increasingly wicked and distant from God, let us draw even closer to Him. Fill your heart with His Word. Renew your mind with His truth. Stand firm in your faith. And remember that we were never called to look like the world. We’re called to look like Jesus.

James 1:22

It’s possible to spend years hearing God’s Word without ever allowing it to truly change us. We can listen to sermons, read our Bibles, attend Bible studies, and even know Scripture well, yet still deceive ourselves if we never put God’s Word into practice.

James reminds us that we are not called to be hearers only, but doers of the Word. What does that mean? It means that hearing God’s truth is important, but the real question is what we do with what we hear. God’s Word should shape our choices, change our attitudes, guide our actions, and transform the way we live.

We deceive ourselves when we believe that simply knowing the truth is enough. The Word of God was never meant to be admired from a distance. It’s meant to be lived. If Scripture tells us to forgive, we must forgive. If it calls us to love, we must love. If it tells us to serve, we must serve. And if it calls us to trust God, we must learn to surrender our fears and follow Him.

Being a doer of the Word doesn’t mean we will live perfectly. It means we are willing to obey, grow, and allow God’s truth to change us from the inside out. May we not only open our Bibles and hear God’s voice, but may we also have the courage and humility to live out what He teaches us.

Isaiah 35:10

Isaiah 35:10 paints a powerful image where joy overtakes us like a raging flood, unstoppable and all-encompassing. A divine joy that doesn’t just fill us, but sweeps us up. It immerses us in its overwhelming force, purging all traces of sorrow and sighing. It crowns us with a glory of delight that shines brightly for all to see. And is a wonderful testament to the boundless grace and love bestowed upon us. This joy is not fleeting or conditional but an eternal gift, unwavering and steadfast. One that that eradicates the darkness of despair. As sorrow and sighing flee in the wake of this overwhelming joy we are left transformed, our spirits lifted, our hearts unburdened. This promised joy is a beacon of hope. It illuminates our path and guides us through life’s trials, anchoring us in a profound sense of peace and fulfillment. Everlasting joy celebrates our redemption, our return to a state of grace and wholeness, where pain and suffering have no hold. And is instead replaced by the enduring gladness that flows from God.

Romans 15:13

Although the Holy Spirit is often the least celebrated within the Trinity, His presence is a source of profound joy and strength. Because The Spirit is God’s active presence within us, transforming and empowering us daily. Through the Holy Spirit, we experience an abundance of peace that surpasses understanding, even amid life’s challenges. The Spirit fills our hearts with divine joy that endures beyond our circumstances, and infuses us with hope, encouraging us to trust in God’s promises. The Spirit’s role includes guiding us into all truth, comforting us in our distress, and interceding on our behalf with groans too deep for words. As we yield to the Spirit’s leading, we become more attuned to God’s will, equipped to live out our faith authentically. Celebrating the Holy Spirit reveals the richness of God’s love and power in our lives, making Him essential for spiritual growth and a deeper connection with the Father and the Son. Embracing the Spirit enriches our faith journey, filling us with the very essence of God’s presence.
