Triumph

April 17th – John 19:30

John 19:30

It is finished.” With those three words in John 19:30, Jesus declared the greatest victory in history. The debt of sin, yours and mine, was paid in full by the spotless Lamb of God. He didn’t leave anything undone. There’s no hidden fee, no balance left for us to cover. The weight of shame, guilt, and failure was lifted when Jesus gave His life on the cross. He took it all. Every sin, every wound, every burden, and bore it in love. This wasn’t a cry of defeat, but a shout of triumph!

In that moment, grace flowed freely and heaven opened its arms to us. We are no longer bound by our past or defined by our mistakes. Because of Jesus, we are forgiven, redeemed, and made new. Easter reminds us that His finished work on the cross is the beginning of our new life. Let your heart rest in this truth today: Jesus paid it all, and nothing can ever separate you from His love. How can we live differently knowing that the price has already been paid in full?

March 7th – Luke 24:6-7

Luke 24:6-7

Oh how Mary’s heart must have overflowed with joy as she discovered the empty tomb and encountered her beloved risen Savior. A joy that would ignite hope in the hearts of believers for generations to come. How wonderful to be greeted not with the lifeless body of Jesus, but by an angel happily declaring, “He is not here; He has risen!” This miraculous event stands as the cornerstone of our faith, a triumphant declaration of Christ’s victory over sin and death. Through His resurrection, Jesus shattered the chains of sin and conquered the grave, securing eternal life for all who believe in Him. The empty tomb is not a symbol of defeat but of unparalleled victory, and a beacon of hope that illuminates the darkness of despair. In Christ’s resurrection, we find assurance that death has been defeated and that new life is available to all who place their trust in Him. Let us all rejoice in the resurrection of our Savior. For in His triumph, we find hope, redemption, and the promise of eternal life.

May 28th – Romans 8:31

Romans 8:31

How many times as kids when we got into a scuffle did we hear, “Oh yeah? You and what army?” I imagine that’s what the Philistines thought when a young David challenged the mighty Goliath. But what they failed to realize is that God was all the army David needed. And He’s all the protection we need as well. Because for those who love Him, God gives the backing and favor of the ultimate power in the universe. One absolutely no one nor nothing can stand against. So no matter the challenges, adversaries, or obstacles we may face in life, we can have confidence in God’s ability to help us overcome them. For with God as our ally, we can have assurance of ultimate victory. Now that doesn’t mean we’ll never face difficulties or opposition, but rather that nothing can ultimately triumph over God’s purposes and plans for our lives.

August 5th – Romans 8:37

Romans 8:37

Paul makes it clear in no uncertain terms that nothing can separate us from the love of Christ. No trial, sorrow, persecution, circumstance, and not death itself can severe the bond we have with Jesus. Through Him we are the victors. Mighty conquerors who can claim victory over sin and Satan himself through the blood of the Lamb. And even greater still, Paul says we are more than conquerors. To be more than conquerors means that not only do we triumph over the Enemy, the painful tribulations we suffer are used by God for our benefit. Our Father in His love for us, uses all things, especially the hard times, to work together for good. (Rom. 8:28) What Satan plans for our demise, God uses to deepen our dependency on Him and to strengthen our faith, allowing us to win every battle that comes against us, through Christ’s love, making our victory even sweeter.

November 29th – 2 Corinthians 2:14

2 Corinthians 2:14

The apostle Paul knew suffering. He was beaten, stoned, imprisoned, and shipwrecked. All for his faith in Jesus. Yet Paul didn’t despair. For he knew that life is hard. And it rarely goes the way we think it should. But just like Paul, we too can have confidence, strength, and even joy, no matter what we face. Because when we walk hand in hand with the Lord, our path always leads to victory. So no matter what life throws at us, we can rest assured that with God on our side, we will always triumph in the end.
