Vitality

April 24th – Deuteronomy 32:2

Deuteronomy 32:2

One of my favorite poems for the season begins, “In spring, the rain gently falls. God’s Word, like showers, He calls. Refreshing hearts, renewing souls. As His truth in us unfolds.” A perfect description of the words of our Lord. He sends gentle rains to fall upon tender grass and refreshing showers upon the plants, so spring can bring forth a renewal of life and vitality to the earth. And He sends His Word to descend as dew upon the land, nourishing and sustaining it, making the beauty of springtime a reminder of His divine care. In the tender shoots that push through the soil and the vibrant blooms across the landscape, we see the handiwork of our Creator. As we marvel at the wonders of spring, let us also reflect on the wisdom found in Deuteronomy, recognizing that just as God’s word brings life to the earth, so too does it bring life to our souls. And let us open our hearts to receive His teachings, allowing them to take root and flourish within us, like the flowers that bloom in the warmth of the spring sun.

April 21st – Isaiah 40:31

Isaiah 40:31

I heard a quote once that said spring is where renewal blossoms. I love that! Because nothing feels fresher and newer than a spring morning. So as the season unfolds infusing the earth with renewed vitality, let us too find renewed strength in God’s unfailing promises. Just as nature throws off her winter coat and bursts forth with new life, may we shed our burdens and be rejuvenated by the warmth, love, and power of God’s presence. For it’s there where we experience renewal, rebirth, and reform. In Isaiah 40:31, we are reminded to wait upon the Lord and find our strength in Him. To trust in His promise to sustain us through every trial and empower us to soar on wings like eagles. As we navigate the challenges of life, let us anchor our faith in His unwavering love and draw upon His limitless strength. With each day, may we be reminded of His faithfulness and find courage in His enduring presence. And let us enjoy the season of renewal with a heart filled with hope and trust in the God who makes all things new.
