It’s easy to look around and wonder why people who lie, cheat, manipulate, or take advantage of others sometimes seem to prosper. They may gain wealth, recognition, or success, and for a moment it can feel unfair. But Proverbs reminds us not to envy those who choose the wrong path or imitate their ways.

The success of the wicked is only temporary. What looks like victory today can never compare to the lasting blessings that come from walking with God. A life built on dishonesty and selfish ambition eventually leads to emptiness, disgrace, and separation from the Lord.

Instead of admiring those who succeed through wrongdoing, we should celebrate those who quietly pursue lives of integrity, humility, and righteousness. They may not always receive the world’s applause, but they have something far greater. Which is the favor and blessing of God.

God sees every act of faithfulness, every honest choice, and every quiet sacrifice made for His glory. In His perfect timing, He will honor those who remain faithful to Him. So don’t compare your journey to those who seem to prosper by taking shortcuts. Keep walking the path of righteousness, because the blessings God has prepared for His children are eternal, and they far outweigh anything this world can offer.

Colossians 3:4

“When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.”

As followers of Jesus, our future is intertwined with His glorious return. That means because we are children of the most high God, we are destined to be transformed into the likeness of Christ Himself. Isn’t that amazing? One day we will be rid of these human, frail, and wicked bodies. And we will receive our new, perfect, glorified ones. Bodies that allow us to stand at the side of Jesus when He returns in all His glory. How can our hearts not be filled with hope and expectation with a promise like that! To appear with Jesus in His glory means that we will stand in the radiant light of His holiness. It’s a declaration of our ultimate victory over sin and death, and a testament to the redemptive power of Christ’s sacrifice. This truth inspires us to live with hope and purpose, keeping our eyes on the prize. A prize that should shape every aspect of our lives, and guide us toward the fulfillment of God’s divine plan. And one that keeps us crying out. “Maranatha! Come Lord Jesus!”
