Week 4 – Living In God’s Love (John 15:9-11)
Because of His great love, Jesus came to save the world. Yet sadly some reject His grace, choosing instead to stay outside of His love. They opt to live a life of disobedience, and turn aside from having an intimate relationship with the Lord. But just as Jesus remained in the Father’s love by obeying His will, we too are called to demonstrate our love for Jesus by following His teachings. Yet this obedience isn’t just about following the rules. More importantly, it’s about aligning our hearts with Christ’s. And letting His love guide our actions and decisions. When we live this way something beautiful happens, our joy becomes complete. A deep, abiding joy that comes from living in harmony with God’s perfect will. It’s a joy that isn’t dependent on circumstances, but rooted in the assurance of His love and presence. By remaining in Jesus’ love through obedience, we experience a fullness of joy that the world can’t offer. And a joy that flows from a life deeply connected to the source of all love and goodness.

- How can we make a conscious effort each day to remain in Jesus’ love by obeying His commandments, and how might this deepen our relationship with Him?
- In what ways can we seek to experience the fullness of joy that Jesus promises by aligning our lives with His teachings and living in close communion with Him?
