Billy Graham Organization Suing Over Discrimination

Stirling Free Church and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA), which continues the work of the late American preacher, are suing the Robertson Trust. The relief agency, linked to one of the country’s best-known Scottish whisky producers, own a conference center in Scotland, cancelled the bookings of a local church and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA). BGEA is now suing over religious discrimination due to claims bosses cancelled because of the groups’ beliefs that marriage should be for one man and one woman. Read more about the lawsuit here. 

 

Texas Bill Would Make it Illegal To Change Child’s Gender

Texas lawmakers discussed a new bill on Monday designed to protect minors from getting gender-altering treatments when they’re too young to make major lifelong decisions. If passed, Senate Bill 1646 would make it a crime for parents to allow their children to undergo a sex change. Additionally, doctors who perform gender-reassignment treatments would be charged with child abuse and an investigation by the Texas Medical Board would ensue. Those in violation of the state’s Family Code, would lead to an investigation by child protective services and the minor could be removed from their home during the assessment. End times Author Claims Asteroid Will Hit earth in 2029

In his latest book, “The Wormwood Prophecy,” author Thomas Horn says that the government is covering up the fact that an asteroid known as Apophis will strike the Earth in 2029. Horn insists the strike will fulfill the prophecy in Revelation 8, “The third angel sounded his trumpet, and a great star, blazing like a torch, fell from the sky on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water— the name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters turned bitter, and many people died from the waters that had become bitter.” Horn also claims, “I believe that Apophis is carrying an alien micro-organism on it in which a virus is being sustained and I believe it’s going to make coronavirus look like a walk in the park,” said Horn. Justin Bieber Releases Gospel Album

Popstar Justin Bieber surprised his millions of supporters on Easter Sunday by releasing his first-ever gospel EP titled Freedom. The six songs on the record include collaborations with artists like Beam, Brandon Love, Chandler Moore, Pink Sweats, Tori Kelly and Lauren Walters, with each song featuring a strong Christian message. Beside songs, the album also features some emotional prayers and declarations from Bieber himself. Beth Moore Taking Twitter Break 

After her exit from the Southern Baptist Convention and a social media apology for her complicity with the complementarian doctrine, Popular bible teacher Beth Moore announced that she is taking a break. Moore said that she’s putting herself in a “time out” from Twitter, stating that it’s better to “get off” than “get ugly” online. She just thinks it’s enough and that she would rather immerse in her personal writing for now. Read more about her exit here.

 

Christians Organize Prayer Campaign Ahead Of Climate Change Conference In Glasgow

Baptist missionary Lowell Bliss and other religious leaders in Asia, Europe, and North America will gather monthly from spring to fall to offer intercessory prayers ahead of the United Nations climate change conference scheduled for Glasgow, Scotland, in November. The group is using intercessory prayer asking God to intervene in our lives and transform the world with the goal 0f creating resources and encouraging climate advocacy. Hillsong church Pausing Operation Citing Leadership Failures

Brian Houston, co-founder of the global megachurch Hillsong, announced in an email that the church’s leadership had decided to “pause all operations” at its Dallas, Texas, location. In early January, Reed and Jess Bogard, the lead pastors of the Dallas location, abruptly resigned in a streaming Sunday morning service. In announcing the decision, Reed Bogard said he and his wife and co-pastor needed to take some time to “get healthy, and really see what this next season holds for us.” This s the latest in a series of scandals for the church, which Houston founded in 1983. Couple Adopts Seven Children Who Lost Parent In Car Accident 

Pam and Gary Willis, 53, who share five adult children and live in Menifee, California, had been fostering kids for years, but they had never discussed adoption. But that all changed when Pam was scanning Facebook and saw a post titled ‘Seven Siblings in Need of Forever Home’.  The children, who had lost their parents in a car accident a year earlier, had been placed in foster care. “In that instant, their sweet smiling faces jumped off of the screen and into my heart. It was what God wanted us to do.” That night, they called the number listed at the bottom of the story. New Poll Shows 40% of Evangelicals Hesitant To Get Vaccinated

Even with the availability of the vaccine is increasing, Christians remain divided over receiving the shot over a variety of reasons. A new poll by The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research, shows 40 percent of white evangelical Protestants said they likely won’t get vaccinated, compared with 25 percent of all Americans, 28 percent of white mainline Protestants and 27 percent of nonwhite Protestants. Alberta Police Barricade And Close Church For Coronavirus Violations

The Canadian government has closed down and fenced off a church that has been charged with refusing to follow COVID-19 health rules. GraceLife Church in Edmonton now has Police vehicles blocking entrances to the parking lot of and temporary fencing erected around the building. The pastor, James Coates, was arrested for violating public-health orders and held in jail for a month. The government vows the church will stay closed until the shows it will comply with public-health measures meant to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus. Read more about the shutdown here.

 

Remains Of Christian Missionary Found In Mali

The remains of a Swiss woman who was killed while held hostage by an Al Qaeda affiliate group in Mali have been recovered, government officials said Wednesday. Beatrice Stoeckli, a Christian missionary who was kidnapped by the Islamist group in 2016 has been formally identified. Stoeckli, who lived in Mali for years working with local children, was first taken hostage in 2012, but was released days later. In 2016, she was kidnapped a second time and later killed. Michigan Deputies Rescue Abandoned Four Month Old

In a time when police are under fire, Michigan deputies rescued a four month old boy abandoned in a wooded area by his mother, who might have been under the influence of prescription drugs. Finding the baby, in a “hypothermic state”, the officers quickly removed the baby’s wet sleeper and wrapped him in warm blankets. The deputies were responding to reports of a distraught, erratic woman banging on doors in the area. when they were able to identify the woman, she told them about her son. Franklin Graham Wins Lawsuit

Buses have long been a great place to advertise. And that’s just what Franklin Graham did to promote the “Lancashire Festival of Hope with Franklin Graham” with bus ads in Blackpool, England, Yet because of Graham’s view against same sex marriage and homosexuality, Blackpool banned the ads. Now because, Graham sued the city, a United Kingdom judge sided with the evangelist and his team ruling that the town of Blackpool, England, violated their religious liberty. Graham applauded the decision, saying, “We thank God for this ruling because it is a win for every Christian in the U.K.” Read more about the ruling here.

 

Corruption Trial For Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused the state prosecution of a “coup attempt” aimed at toppling him from office, as his corruption trial resumed Monday weeks after national elections ended with no clear winner and as political parties held negotiations to determine whether Netanyahu would remain in office. the prime minister is facing charges of bribery, fraud, and breach of trust in three separate cases. Netanyahu has pled not guilty, calling the charges part of a “witch-hunt” against him. Read more about the trial here.

 

Canadian Pastor Chases Officers Out of Church

In a video that has gone viral, Polish pastor, Pastor Artur Pawlowski can be heard yelling, “Out!” repeatedly at officers who entered the premises of the church. The pastor of the Cave of Adullam Church in Alberta, Canada became emotional, saying “Nazis are not welcome here! Do not come back you Nazi psychopaths. Unbelievable sick, evil people. Intimidating people in a church during the Passover! You Gestapo, Nazi, communist fascists! Don’t you dare come back here!” The video comes just days after Pastor James Coates was released from prison for holding in person services that exceeded arbitrary restrictions on attendance. 2000 Microphones Unlock the Mystery Of Why Hummingbirds Hum

The hummingbird is named after its pleasant humming sound when it hovers in front of flowers to feed. But only now has it become clear how the wing generates the hummingbird’s namesake sound when it is beating rapidly at 40 beats per second. Researchers from Eindhoven University of Technology, Sorama, a TU/e spin-off company, and Stanford University meticulously observed hummingbirds using 12 high-speed cameras, 6 pressure plates and 2176 microphones. They discovered that the wings of hummingbirds generate sound in a fashion similar to how the wings of insect do. The new insights could help make devices like fans and drones quieter. Pastor John MacArthur Says it’s too Late for America

With the speed that American society is degenerating, and turning against God, many Christians agree with the statement made by pastor John MacArthur.  The Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, California pastor, recently preached a sobering message suggesting that it may be too late for America to be saved because the nation is already under God’s judgment. Macarthur is quoted as saying, “As somebody said a few years ago, if God doesn’t destroy America pretty soon, He’s going to have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah.” Read more of his warning to America here.

 

Max Lucado teaming up With Christian Artists For “Good Friday Worldwide”

Good Friday is one of the most holy days in the Christian faith. And this year, pastor and author Max Lucado, is teaming up with Chris Tomlin and other chart-topping artists for “Good Friday Worldwide,” a worship service that will bring hope, peace, and reflect on the meaning of Christ’s suffering and death. In addition to airing on TBN, “Good Friday Worldwide” will simulcast with radio partners K-LOVE and Air1, along with 30 radio stations across the country. Reverend Patrick Mahoney Suing Nancy Pelosi 

Reverend Patrick Mahoney sued Vice President Kamala Harris and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Tuesday after his request to hold a Good Friday vigil near the US Capitol was denied. Mahoney filed the lawsuit in DC federal court claiming that the “blanket denial” of his permit application violated his First Amendment rights. Mahoney has been trying to hold a prayer vigil on the sidewalk near the Lower Western Terrace of the Capitol, where he has held many similar events at the same location in the past, including last year, when he worked with Capitol Police to make sure the event complied with COVID-19 restrictions. Bunnies In Wales Dig Up 9,000 Year Old Artifacts

Not content with being the cutest animals ever, now some bunnies in wales have become archeologists. On the island of  Skokholm, wardens have found Stone Age tools and a pottery shard down a rabbit burrow. Dug up by the bunnies, the finds date to 3,750—9,000 years ago, and include tools for making seal hide clothes and boats and the shard of a funerary urn, suggesting the small island could have been used for ritual burial. Similar examples from west Wales dated to about 2,100 and 1,750 BCE, or around 3,750 years ago. Read more about this unique find here.

Nike Sues Over Satan Shoe

In yet another example of the degradation of today’s society, rapper and singer Lil Nas X launched a controversial pair of “Satan Shoes” featuring a bronze pentagram, an inverted cross and a drop of real human blood. And what is even sadder, they sold out almost immediately. Nike is suing to keep the rapper from selling the shoes and prevent the use of its famous Swoosh design mark. New Poll Shows Less than Half Of Americans Attend Church

Although the covid-19 has closed down many churches, a new poll shows that even without the pandemic, many professing Christians don’t regularly attend church. For the first time since the late 1930s, fewer than half of Americans say they belong to a church, synagogue, or mosque, according to a new report from Gallup. Church membership is down across religious groups, but Catholics saw a bigger drop than Protestants. Read more about the Gallup poll here.

 

Woman Gets Jailtime For Threatening To Bomb Catholic School

Same sex marriage is a a hot button issue, and for one California woman, her actions landed her in trouble with the law. Sonia Tabizada, a 36-year-old from San Jacintowas sentenced to 15 months and 13 days in federal prison for threatening to blow up a Washington, D.C.-based Catholic school that planned to publish same-sex wedding announcements. Dutch Land Engineer Wants To Turn The Sinai Desert Into The Sinai Forest

Ties Van der Hoeven, founder of The Weather Makers Holistic Engineering, wants to turn the Biblical land of Sinai, where Egypt meets Asia, into a lush forest. And not merely content with only transforming Sinai, The Weather Makers are looking to improve the prospects of the entire region. Their goal is to take the dry, arid desert, and turn it into green productive farmland, and return Lake Bardawil in the Sinai Peninsula back to a normal state. Arkansas Governor Signs Sweeping Anti Abortion Bill

Arkansas Governor, Asa Hutchinson, is facing backlash after signing a near-total ban on abortions in the state. Hutchinson acknowledged that the bill defied Supreme Court precedent, but was confident it would face legal challenges and ultimately force the United States Supreme Court to revisit Roe v. Wade—the 1973 case that legalized abortion across the country. Hutchinson said he signed the bill due to his sincere and long-held pro-life convictions. High School Football Coach Fired After Praying On Field

Joseph Kennedy, a high school football coach, was fired by Bremerton, Washington high school for praying silently for 15 seconds after each game, a practice he devoted to for seven years. Kennedy appealed the case to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit yet lost. The three judge panel stated  Kennedy’s actions of praying after games on the 50-yard-line was a violation of the Establishment Clause of the U.S. Constitution. Read more about his firing here.

 

Some churches Will Be Holding In Person Easter Services This Year 

After all churches were closed last year for Easter serves, this year some parishioners will be welcomed back to in person services. Among American Christians, 39 percent say they plan to celebrate Easter in person, compared to 62 percent during a typical year. Although many Christians still plan on viewing services virtually, many more are excited to gather and celebrate the holy Resurrection Day. Boy Finds Ancient Fertility Amulet In Israeli Desert

Hiking with his family in Israel’s northern Negev Desert, 11-year-old Zvi Ben-David picked up a tiny ceramic figurine. The ancient amulet, which depicts a bare-chested woman whose scarf covers her head and neck, was apparently intended to promote fertility or protect children. The molded figurine stands less than three inches tall. It was probably made during the fifth or sixth century B.C., toward the end of Judaism’s late First Temple period. Unaccompanied Children Crisis At Border

In a heartbreaking crisis at the border, thousand of children are being held U.S. border detention centers.  As a result, the Department of Homeland Security has called on the Federal Emergency Management Agency “to help receive, shelter and transport the children” arriving at the U.S.-Mexico border. Some 5,800 unaccompanied children crossed the border in January, and many are predicting that at least 7,000 migrant children entered the U.S. last month. Pope Francis Bars Blessing Of Same Sex Marriage

Pope Francis has invited LGBT advocates to the Vatican. He has spoken warmly about the place of gay people in the church, and has called for national laws for same-sex civil unions. Now the pope has made a pronouncement banning priests from blessing same sex marriages.  The decree declares same-sex unions are not ordered to the Creator’s plan, and those unions is illicit. Florida Pastor Loses Two Daughters And Three Grandchildren In Tragic Accident 

Florida pastor, Anthony Oliver of Taft Missionary Baptist Church, had his life turned upside down due to a tragic car accident.  The accident apparently happened after the car carrying his daughters and grandkids tried to make a left turn, while they tried to make the left turn, an oncoming car reportedly hit them. As a result, two of the pastors daughters were killed along with three of his grandchildren. The family has set up a go fund me account to help raise funds. Grandson Finds Grandfather’s Lost WW2 Army Band Recordings

A World War II recording that had been lost for nearly a half-century was discovered in an attic–and it’s believed to be the only known recording by a frontline military band stationed with troops near a battlefield. Jason Burt found the recordings belonging to his grandfather, Richard Burt, in his grandfather’s garage attic. Richard, an avid trumpet player, was part of a 20-piece band who decided to record themselves playing 10 chart-topping songs of the era. Upon completion of the recording session in a jungle tent, Jason’s grandpa brought the recordings home, where he pressed them into 78rpm records. Read more about this discovery here.

Luis Palau, Known As “the Latino Billy Graham”, Passes Away

Luis Palau, a beloved Christian evangelist, died at his Portland, Oregon, home from late stage lung cancer. Palau’s evangelism was conducted in both English and Spanish, and he shared the gospel in more than 80 countries around the world. His ministry led millions to receive Jesus as their Savior. He was an avid follower of Billy Graham, and Palau modeled his evangelism after Graham’s crusades. Read more his life and ministry here.

 

Church Treasurer Charged With Stealing To Purchase Porn

When the Saint Paul Lutheran Church of Latrobe Pennsylvania found their utilities shut off, the reason why shocked everyone. It is alleged that Glenn Yothers, who had served as treasurer embezzled over $150,000 from his congregation. Instead of paying the bills, church records show the money was used on a pornography website. Yothers was released from jail on a signature bond and is due in court later this month. My Pillow Guy Mike Lindell To Launch Social Media Platform

Christian businessman and My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell, revealed that his new social media platform will be a cross between YouTube and Twitter, and will be named Vocl. After being banned for life on Twitter, Lindell felt those who shared his opinions and beliefs should have a place where they will have a voice. and so he started his own social media platform. Senators Push For Permanent Daylight Savings Time

If you’re like me, you hate daylight savings time. Now a group of bipartisan senators are reintroducing the “Sunshine Act”. If passed, Americans would keep DST, which currently lasts from March to November, and wouldn’t have to change their clocks twice a year. Kirk Cameron’s Campfire Revival A Big Hit

Christian, actor, and producer Kirk Cameron is nearly midway into his 100-day plan where he prays for restoration within the country during the “American Campfire Revival.” In his videos, which feature a campfire in the background, Cameron evangelizes and tells Christians that they belong to God and encourages them to live lives that are honoring to God. Missouri Pastor On Leave After telling Women To Lose Weight

Pastor Stewart-Allen Clark of First General Baptist in Malden, Missouri, told his congregation that too many women “let themselves go” after they get married. He added, “Most women can’t be trophy wives, but you know, maybe you’re a participation trophy.” After facing backlash for his sermon, the pastor is now on leave. Former NFL Tight End Benjamin Watson Prolife Champion

New England Patriots former player, Benjamin Watson has taken on one of the major issues driving our polarization, abortion. A proponent of overturn Roe vs Wade, Watson called out Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden Tuesday for asserting the 1973 Supreme Court decision granting nationwide legal cover to abortion  “must remain the law of the land.” Watson, a speaker at the 2016 March For Life, said the priority must be to “support all life” no matter who is in the White House.
