God’s Plans

February 27th – 1 Corinthians 2:9

1 Corinthians 2:9

As fallen beings, we are barely able to comprehend all God has in store for us. For we know His ways and thoughts are higher than we could ever comprehend. But in His mercy, God sent the Holy Spirit to indwell all who receive Jesus as their Savior. And through the Spirit, God reveals to us Himself, His plans, and the great depths of His love. A love unequalled, and one that brings to us all of God’s promises, blessings, and peace. For God loves to reward generously, and beyond imagining, all whom He calls His own!

Though we might not see results right away, they will come. For God is always at work, and His plans always come to fruition. So trust in Him, wait on Him, and watch in astonishment at the greatness of the results!

Proverbs 15:22

Making positive changes in our lives is always a good thing. But unfortunately, being fallen beings we don’t get it right all of the time. Sometimes we make the wrong choice, or follow the wrong path. That’s why God never calls us to do it on our own. Instead, before we make a decision, God tells us to seek the opinions of other godly people. For different eyes see different things, and can offer us different perspectives. So before you step out on your own,  save yourself some heartache and seek God’s viewpoint, and the viewpoint of other trusted counselors in your life.

January 5th – Jeremiah 29:11

Jeremiah 29:11

We all sin and fall short. Israel rebelled against God and a result, they were exiled to Babylon. Yet God didn’t forsake them. Even in their sin He was making plans to restore them back to their land and Himself. As Christians we are told that trials and tribulations will enter our lives. But just like He promised with the Israelites, God will never forsake His own. No matter what this new year ahead may hold, we can be sure that God is in control. Our hearts can be filled with hope knowing that no matter the circumstance, He is always working on His plans to provide us with a glorious future!
