November 5th – Revelation 11:17

Revelation 11:17

With all of the chaos on the world today, I find myself crying out, “Maranatha!” Come Lord Jesus! And He is coming. The world is going to go through a tribulation like never before seen, and the entire earth will, “be filled with the knowledge of the Lord as the water covers the sea.” (Is. 11:9) Soon the Lord will come to sit on His throne in Jerusalem and begin His perfect reign. Oh how we will give thanks in that hour for our King who will uphold and establish His kingdom with justice and righteousness forever!

November 4 – 1 Thessalonians 5:18

1 Thessalonians 5:18

It’s easy to thank God during the good times, but what about the bad? Although trials are never easy, God wants us to be able to find gratitude in each tribulation we face. But how do we thank Him when it feels as though our tears will never dry, our hearts will never heal, and our circumstance will never change? On our own it’s impossible. But in the strength of Jesus, the impossible becomes possible. When we walk with the Lord and lay all things at His feet, we can not only thank God in all things, we can also experience the peace and joy of knowing everything is in the perfect hands of God who loves us most!

October 31 – Ephesians 1:18

Ephesians 1:18

Gratitude is important. God wants us to be thankful everyday for the blessings that He so freely gives us. But you know what else is important? Joy. God also wants us to feel the joy that comes with His blessings. Joy from knowing that our Father in heaven, through His unmerited love, sent His Son to die so that we can live. God calls us beloved, righteous, and His. He blesses us abundantly not because He has to, but because He wants to. And knowing this, should light up our hearts with great joy!

October 30 – John 1:4

John 1:4

Jesus is life. He is the Fountain of life, the Sustainer of life, and the Source of life. And because of His great love for both us and the Father, He willingly left His place at the right hand of God to pay our sin debt with His precious blood. With His death and resurrection, Jesus forever conquered death and darkness. And when we receive Him into our hearts as our Savior, He gathers us into His life giving light. Never again will we be in darkness, for when Christ calls us His own, He shines brightly upon us for all eternity.
