Peace

February 26th – Romans 15:13

Romans 15:13

Charles Spurgeon once said, “When the heart is full of joy, it always allows its joy to escape. It is like the fountain in the marketplace; whenever it is full it runs away in streams, and so soon as it ceases to overflow, you may be quite sure that it has ceased to be full. The only full heart is the overflowing heart.” God’s love is an ever-flowing fountain, filling the depths of our hearts with joy. It’s a love that surpasses understanding, bringing a peace that transcends the trials of life. As we anchor our trust in Him, the source of unending hope, our hearts become reservoirs of happiness. In moments of despair, God’s love becomes a guiding light, illuminating the path to a future overflowing with hope. With unwavering confidence, we stand in awe of His love that transforms adversity into an opportunity for growth and resilience. And in the embrace of God’s love, we discover an overflowing fountain of hope and joy that defies circumstance, a testament to the enduring power of His grace in our lives.

Matthew 11:28

We live in a fast paced, high stress world. Where everyone is in desperate need of rest and peace. So the tender invitation of Jesus who beckons the weary and burdened to come to Him for rest, is as refreshing as a beautiful oasis in a dry desert. With arms outstretched in compassion, He offers comfort to all who are burned out, overtired, and exhausted from life. Providing the rest needed in a chaotic world. In His presence we discover a sanctuary of peace, where the cares of the world fade away in the light of His grace. As we lay our burdens at Jesus’ feet, He gently lifts the heavy yoke from our shoulders. And replaces it with the lightness of His love. In the quiet refuge of His embrace, we find renewal for our souls as His love restores and replenishes us. With each step taken in His presence, we are reminded of the restorative power of His love. February 19th – 1 John 4:18

1 John 4:18

While we know that God’s perfect love has the power to cast out all fear, that doesn’t mean we won’t have times of feeling afraid. And those times don’t make us bad Christians, or mean we’ve failed God. Instead, they mean that we’re human. And all fall short daily. But in those times when fear and doubt creep in, we can find comfort knowing despite our fears, God’s love remains steadfast. Ready and able to cast out even the darkest of shadows and bring us back to a place of peace and security. In His embrace, fear is powerless, its grip loosened by the unwavering assurance of His presence. For where His love resides, there is no room for fear to dwell. Because it’s eclipsed by the brilliance of His grace. With each heartbeat synchronized to the rhythm of His love, we are emboldened to face the trials of life with unwavering courage. For He who is Love itself, walks beside us. And in the radiance of His perfect love, we find refuge, our hearts emboldened to embrace the journey ahead with faith and fortitude.

January 26th – Mark 11:25

Mark 11:25

I heard a Bible teacher say, “What God does for someone else isn’t our business. It’s not up to us to judge how He blesses them.” I don’t know about you, but sometimes I get frustrated seeing others experience the favor of God when they have hurt or wronged me. But unforgiveness and bitterness are heavy burdens which keep our hearts chained, and our spirits from growing. To truly be free, we need to embrace the liberating power of forgiveness. That’s why Mark encourages us to  choose a better and healthier way of living by releasing any resentment we harbor towards another. By letting go of bitterness and embracing forgiveness, we open the door to healing and restoration. The act of forgiveness isn’t just for the benefit of others, but essential for our own spiritual well-being. It’s a call to change from bitter to better, allowing God’s grace to transform our hearts and lead us into a life characterized by love, compassion, and peace.

January 7th – Matthew 11:28

Matthew 11:28

Did you know self care is an 11 billion dollar industry? Everywhere we go we are in inundated with a miracle pill, potion, meditation, or exercise. But the best care for our mind, souls, and body doesn’t cost a thing. It’s a free gift offered by God to those who rest in the Lord. An invitation in the hustle and bustle of life to take a moment to pause and surrender our burdens at His feet. Because resting in the Lord isn’t just a physical break, but a spiritual renewal. A chance to exchange our weariness for His yoke, which is easy, and His burden, which is light. Resting in the Lord’s embrace allows our souls to breathe, rejuvenating our spirits and preparing our hearts for the days ahead. It’s an acknowledgment that true strength is found in the quiet moments of communion with Him, where His peace sustains us through life’s journey. So in a world that advocates self care, the greatest comfort is found not in the noise of the world but in the quiet rest of the soul. Where the gentle embrace of the Lord becomes the ultimate form of care.

Proverbs 2:6

Before a ship sets sail, the captain diligently checks his maps and compass. Because a successful journey relies on careful preparation. As we embark on our journey of life, we too need to consult our perfect Guide. Trusting in the compass of His perfect wisdom to navigate the path ahead with purpose and direction. That’s why Proverbs 2:6 calls us to seek wisdom from God. For true understanding and guidance come from Him alone. In our decisions, both great and small, let us approach them with a heart open to His divine counsel. May we stand on the promise that His wisdom is a beacon for our path, as we navigate the complexities of life with assurance, knowing that His insights illuminate the way. I pray this year will be a continuous quest for the wisdom that leads us in the ways of righteousness. That it will shape our choices and align our journey with the purpose He has set before us.
