Revelation

September 2nd – Genesis 8:22

Genesis 8:22

Before the great flood, God’s heart was grieved as He looked upon the wickedness of the world. And with the unending rain He sent, it was His intent to blot out mankind forever. Yet Noah found favor in God’s eyes. And because of that favor, despite the cataclysmic consequences predicted by global warming, the patterns of nature will continue. Day will follow night, the seasons will continue to change, and sowing will be followed by harvesting. All because of God’s amazing grace and unending patience from wanting none to perish. While the earth remains, we have God’s promise to never again destroy everything living thing. (Gen. 9:22) But one day soon the Lord will return and remake the heavens and earth. (Rev. 21:1) And only those who receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior will witness firsthand the glory of His new creation.

June 25th – Revelation 19:11

Revelation 19:11

The theme throughout of the book of Revelation is the revealing of Jesus Christ, and the second coming of the Lord back to the earth. When Jesus came the first time, it was as the gentle Lamb on the back of a donkey. But when He returns, it will be as the Lion of Judah on the back of a white charger with eyes of fire. As a mighty Warrior with His saints at His side, Jesus comes to rule, bringing judgement with Him. And as King of kings, and Lord of Lords, Christ establishes His kingdom on earth, conquering the Evil One. Called Faithful and True, Jesus will reign with a rod of righteousness, and tread the wine press of of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty. ( Rev. 19:15)

June 21st – 1 Peter 5:4

1 Peter 5:4

Jesus is our Chief Shepherd. The One who cares and tends to His flock. And before He ascended to the Father, the Lord delegated the task of caring for His precious herd over to the disciples. They in turn appointed elders and caretakers to guide and Christ’s sheep. And we too have a responsibility to the pack, our fellow sheep. To gently and in love, protect, care for, lead, and teach our brothers and sister in Jesus. Because to all faithful shepherds, leaders or not, God promises the crown of glory. Not a crown made of olive leaves that wither and die, but a crown that never fades. A crown that each of us who long for the soon appearing of our Savior, Jesus Christ will receive. And a crown we will cast at the feet of our Redeemer saying, “Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.” (Rev. 4:11)

June 9th – Revelation 1:8

Revelation 1:8

In Revelation, Jesus tells us He is the Alpha and the Omega. He was before all things, and will remain beyond all things. Christ is the beginning, the end, and everything in between. And as Ruler and Creator, He is in control of all, and nothing happens without His say so. Hebrews 13:8 tells us that Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He is the unchanging, great I am, and God Almighty in the flesh. The word Almighty comes from the Greek word, pantokrater, meaning powerful, omnipotent, or sustainer of the world. And that’s just who Jesus is. And as such we can put our confidence, hope, and trust in Him and know we are safe in His hands!

June 5th – Revelation 3:11

Revelation 3:11

Throughout history we have heard the warning, “Jesus is coming back soon.” And because it has yet to happen, people get numb to the message. But God works in His own perfect timing and not ours. The fact that Christ hasn’t come yet for His bride means that God is still busy saving souls and adding to His family. A great testimony of His grace and mercy. But make no mistake. Jesus is coming. And until He does, we mustn’t get complacent in our walk and work for the Lord. For one day will stand before Him. And I for one can think of nothing sadder than standing before my King with no crown to lay at His feet. A crown that could have been mine, but forfeited to another because of my unfaithfulness.

Revelation 1:7

The seven tribulation will be a time of God’s wrath poured upon the world. Yet even though the earth and its people will endure the terrible consequences of rejecting the Lord, there is hope. So although God’s judgement will be felt by those who reject Him, His mercy and love will also be felt by those who embrace Him. Many will be saved during the tribulation, and they together with the world, will see the Lord’s glorious return. The Beasts Of Satan Revealed – Revelation 13

Revelation 13

Throughout the Bible we are taught that what Satan desires most of all is power and glory. He wants to be worshiped as God. And during the tribulation, for awhile, he gets just that. But no matter how hard he tries, his reign is short, his ability to destroy limited, and his desire to be God never fulfilled. Regardless of all he does, including calling forth his beast from the sea and his beast from the earth, the Lord remains sovereign and destroys him in the end. …
