Salvation

April 12th – Ephesians 2:8-9

Ephesians 2:8-9

There’s nothing more refreshing than spring rain. And like the rain that falls freely from the sky, God freely pours out His grace upon us. So just as the earth receives the life-giving rain, let us humbly accept His grace with hearts full of gratitude. For no matter how great we may see ourselves, there is nothing we can do on our own to make us worthy of salvation. Instead, because of God’s incredible, unconditional love, we are saved by faith through His unmerited favor alone. And in the same way that rain quenches the thirst of the earth, God’s grace satisfies the deepest longings of our souls, offering forgiveness, redemption, and eternal life. As we open ourselves to His grace, we are transformed by its power, experiencing the renewal and restoration that only He can provide. So may each drop of God’s grace remind of His boundless love and mercy, which knows no bounds and extends to all who seek Him. And in embracing His grace, let us live lives marked by humility, gratitude, and a steadfast trust in God’s unfailing love

April 11th – Philippians 3:13-14

Philippians 3:13-14

There’s an old proverb that says, no matter how long the winter, spring is sure to follow. So as spring ushers in its promise of renewal, let us take inspiration from Philippians 3:13-14, shedding the weight of past mistakes like the shedding of winter’s cloak. Just as nature refreshes itself, may we too release the burdens that tether us to yesterday’s failures, embracing the opportunity for new beginnings. With hearts unburdened, let us fix our gaze forward. And let us set our sights on the ultimate prize of knowing Christ more deeply. Like flowers reaching for the sun, may we keep pressing towards the goal ahead, eager to grow in our faith and understanding. As we leave behind the shadows of yesterday, let us step boldly into the light of God’s grace, confident in His guiding hand. With each step forward, may we find strength in His presence and assurance in His promises, knowing that the journey ahead holds boundless opportunities for spiritual growth and fulfillment.

Romans 15:13

One of the apostle Paul’s deepest longings was that we as believers, experience the fullness of joy and peace that comes from the hope we have in Christ. A hope that is the very essence of Easter. When Christians around the world celebrate Jesus’ Resurrection, and the hope it brings for the future. For in Jesus we find assurance in the unyielding faithfulness of our Heavenly Father, who demonstrated His boundless love through the sacrificial death and triumphant Resurrection of His Son. Giving us a hope that isn’t fleeting or just wishful thinking. Instead it’s a steadfast confidence in the victory of Christ over sin and death, ensuring our redemption and eternal fellowship with God. A hope that sustains us in times of trouble, and one that reminds us how nothing can separate us from the love of God. A love manifested through Christ Jesus our Lord. So as we embrace the hope of Easter, may our hearts overflow with joy and peace, knowing that our future is secure in the hands of our faithful Savior.

March 14th – 1 Corinthians 1:18

1 Corinthians 1:18

In this verse in 1 Corinthians, the apostle Paul highlights the great paradox of the world. How the Cross and the sacrifice of Jesus, seems like nonsense to unbelievers. But to those of us who follow Christ, it’s the power of God unto salvation. So while the concept of a crucified Savior is confounding to the foolish of the world, to Christians, the Cross holds the profound truth of redemption and transformation. Through Jesus’ sacrificial death on the Cross, we find forgiveness for our sins, healing for our brokenness, and reconciliation with God. The Cross isn’t just a symbol of suffering. It is also the awesome and ultimate demonstration of God’s love and grace. As we meditate on the power of the Cross, let us surrender every area of our lives to its transformative influence. May we embrace the forgiveness and freedom that it offers, allowing it to shape our thoughts, actions, and desires. And may its power, and the sacrifice of our Lord, be the cornerstone of our faith and the foundation of our hope.

March 13th – Romans 5:8

Romans 5:8

The truth of the Gospel is a simple one. God, in His boundless love and grace, chose to send His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, as a payment for the debt we owed. Once dead in our sins and eternally separated from God, through Jesus’ sacrificial death and triumphant Resurrection, we are reconciled back to our Heavenly Father. And even more wonderful, when we receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we receive the gift of salvation. A gift not earned through our own efforts, but given freely from God’s love and grace. As we meditate on the profound significance of this truth, and get ready to celebrate Resurrection Day, may our hearts overflow with gratitude and thanksgiving. And may we be humbled by the fact that God’s love for us knows no bounds. How He willingly paid the ultimate price with the blood of His beloved Son to purchase us for His very own. So out of thankfulness, I pray our lives be a reflection of His love, as we seek to live in obedience and gratitude, forever transformed by the power of His grace.

In Luke 23:46, we witness the heart wrenching scene of Jesus’ crucifixion. The weight of our sins bore down upon Him as He hung on the Cross, enduring unimaginable physical and spiritual suffering. As we reflect on the depth of our Father’s love demonstrated through the Cross, our hearts overflow with gratitude and awe. Because we are reminded of the immeasurable price paid for our salvation.
