John 4:35
How many us love to live by the phrase, “Why do today what you can put off until tomorrow?” But God says, “Why put off tomorrow what you can today?” For unlike the farmers of the field who need to wait for the right time to harvest, God’s fields are always ripe for gleaning. His seeds are always being planted, His rows sowed, and His harvest ready. All that is missing are the workers who are eager, and ready to reap. Jesus taught the disciples, when it comes to spreading the gospel, the time is now! Every season is the right season for spirits willing to sow, hearts willing to cultivate, and hands willing to reap. Procrastination has no part in evangelism. And Ecclesiastes 11:4 reminds us, those who wait for the right time, get nothing done for God at all. For time is short, and the workers few. So don’t wait! For what is today, but yesterday’s tomorrow.
