Three Dead As Woman Beheaded In Knife Attack In France

Two women and one man were killed in in a brutal knife attack in the French city of Nice. At the Basilica of Notre-Dame where the victims were getting ready to attend mass, the suspect  burst in and carried out the murders. This is the second suspected Islamist extremists attack on French soil in less than two weeks. Read more about the gruesome assault here.

 

Social Media CEO’s Brought In To Testify Before Congress

During a virtual hearing held on Wednesday, Senator Ted Cruz, among others expressed concern about the ability of Facebook, Google, and Twitter to influence elections. Calling out their anti conservative bias, Cruz calls these social media entities the greatest threat to free speech in America. Read about this hearing here.

 

Teacher Giving Zoom Class Saves Grandparent

When first-grade teacher Julia Koch got a call about a computer glitch from Cynthia Phillips whose granddaughter was in her class, she knew there was a more serious issue. While communicating, Koch noticed Phillips was slurring and  mixing up her words. After recognizing the symptoms of a stroke, the teacher leapt into action, alerting authorities who called 911. Poland’s Top Court Bans Abortion Of babies With Birth Defects

Poland’s Constitutional Tribunal struck down a law allowing abortions of babies with birth defects, citing Poland’s constitution. Following the ruling, abortions will now only be permitted in Poland in cases of rape, incest or if the mother’s health and/or life are at risk. While prolife groups praise this decision, prochoice groups say it endangers women’s health. Read more about the ruling here.

 

Pope Francis Elects First Black American Cardinal

Archbishop Wilton Gregory of Washington, D.C. will be America’s first Black Cardinal. The 72 year old said he was both grateful and humbled, as he thanked Pope Francis for opportunity to serve the church in this greater capacity. With his appointment, Cardinal Gregory now becomes the highest ranking black prelate in the country. Read more about his promotion here.

 

Churches Attacked In Nigeria

In Nigeria, as 12 pastors and more than 400 Christians gathered at church to pray for peace, they were attacked, beaten and shot at with guns by suspected Muslim mobs. On the same day, other churches in the area were burned and vandalized. Despite this persecution, the churches refuse to be silenced in their faith. Read more about this attack here.

 

5th Grader Trying To Get Meals To People In Need Before Thanksgiving

Texas fifth grader, Orion Jean, has a heart as big as the Lone Star state. Seeing all of the hurting families in his area, Orion has set a goal to get 100,000 meals to hungry people before Thanksgiving. This amazing young man says, now more than ever, kindness is important. That’s how our relationship with Jesus can be. We get to a place where it’s comfortable, cozy, and easy. And that’s where we want to stay. But the Christian walk is just that, a walk. Christian School Sues Oregon Governor

After a small private Christian school complied with state covid-19 orders in order to open, they were told they had to remain closed. Hermiston Christian School in Hermiston, Oregon is suing the democratic governor for religious discrimination. They feel their constitutional rights were violated when the state allowed only some public schools to reopen. Read more about this lawsuit here.

 

Actor Kevin Sorbo Says Science And Religion Go Hand-in-Hand

While you may may know actor Kevin Sorbo as Hercules, or Captain Dylan Hunt, he is also known for his spiritual films and deep faith in God. Christian Author Says Abortion Shouldn’t Be A Factor When Voting

Pastor and author Skye Jethani says that abortions aren’t going to be reduced by the leaders in government, so the issue shouldn’t impact our votes. Instead the pastor says that programs at the local level, including crisis centers, churches, and support groups are the way to reach and lift up pregnant women. Read more of his ideas here. 

 

Tiny Chihuahua Named hero Dog Of The Year

A four pound chihuahua named Mackenzie has been named the country’s most heroic canine. Born with a birth defect, this award winner overcame her handicap and now spends her time taking care of other rescue animals born with birth defects. Evangelist Franklin Graham is making a plea to Christians around the country. On October 25th, Graham is urging Believers to participate in a  day of fasting and praying for the United States. French Teacher Beheaded For Showing Prophet Mohammed Cartoon

A middle school history and geography teacher was beheaded by a Muslim teenager after repeatedly showing cartoons of the prophet Mohammed. Customers Jump Up To Help Run Restaurant

When customers at a popular restaurant saw that the only one working was the chef, they jumped into action and lent a helping hand. With tables needing clearing, orders to take, and people to cash out, assistance was plentiful. The eatery’s patrons washed dishes, served food, and waited tables. Zach Sobiech, a teenage musician living with terminal bone cancer, inspired Disney’s new movie entitled “Clouds”. It’s the story of Zach’s last days before he passed away just shortly after his 18th birthday. Young Inventor turns Her Disability Into A Superpower

Jordan Reeves is a 14 year old girl whose left armed stopped growing below the elbow. But she didn’t let that stop her. She took her disability and used it develop her own “super power”. Loving glitter as most girls do, Jordan used a 3-d printer to create a prosthetic arm that actually shoots glitter from the tip. Read more about this amazing young woman here.

I  personally admire Judge Amy Coney Barrett. She appears to be a Christian who not only talks the talk, but walks the walk. her life is a testament to her deep faith. As her confirmation hearings begin, a pro Amy group called, “Concerned Women for America”, has organized a bus tour with their first stop at capital Hill to pray for the nation. Israel May Be First Country To Deploy New Virus Test

Israeli leaders are hoping a new Covid-19 test which provides results in 23 minutes will allow them to reopen both the economy and schools. There can be no disagreement in that black lives matter. But when this Illinois football coach found a BLM sign taped to his office door, he replaced it with a sign that said, “All lives matter to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” This display of his faith, cost him his job. Israel And Jordan Sign Historic Airspace Agreement

This agreement, allowing flights between countries, not only extends the recent peace treaty recently signed between Israel, The UAE, and Bahrain, it hopes to cut fuel costs and pollution. Chadwick Boseman’s Brother Shares Late Actor’s Last Prayer 

I love a good action hero movie, and one of my favorites is Black Panther. It introduced me to actor Chadwick Boseman, whose earlier work is fantastic as well. Sadly he lost his battle with colon cancer at the young age of 43. Yet through his trial his faith never waivered, and he remains an inspiration to us all. GOP Senators Seek To Keep Louisiana Pastor From Prosecution

Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, many states closed down places of worship. In Louisiana, Pastor Tony Spell continued to hold services against the mandate of the Governor. Charged with several misdemeanor offenses, Republican state legislators are trying to pass a bill protecting those people who are exercising their religious freedom. The hits keep coming in 2020. This seems to be a particularly active hurricane season. In fact 2020 has seen so many storms, all letters of the alphabet have been used up and now the National Hurricane Center has moved on to the Greek alphabet.
