Pro-life supporters are up in arms over a proposed amendment to the current abortion laws in Massachusetts. Labeling it the “infanticide bill”, critics say the legislation would allow abortion up until the moment of birth and remove the current protections for babies who survive abortion. Russell Moore To Receive Defender Of Religious Freedom Award

Religious liberty for peoples of all faith is an important and vital fight. Russell Moore, the president of the Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention, will be honored for his work in religious freedom activism. Hillsong Church Being Investigated

Hillsong church announced it would be conducting internal investigations of its Hillsong NYC/ East Coast church. After Pastor Carl Lentz of the New York church was fired for moral transgressions, including an extra marital affair, Hillsong west coast Pastor Brian Houston, announced the investigation, citing it was the best for all involved. Businesses Help Fellow Businesses With Covid-19

When an employee of the popular New Jersey restaurant, Würstbar, tested positive for covid-19, the eatery put the staff on quarantine. But instead of having to close down, their neighbors at Virile Barber Shop offered to help. Workers from the barber shop stepped in and took shifts at the restaurant until the wait staff could be cleared to return to work. Religious Persecution Is Worsening

The Pew Research Center’s 11th annual study surveying restrictions on freedom of religion in 198 nations, showed that religious persecution is increasing worldwide. The study cites government restrictions which are hostile to the open practice of faith. India, Egypt, and Russia among others, are listed as the worst offenders. Over 50 Beheaded In Isis Extremist Attack

Suspected Islamic State-aligned militants beheaded dozens of people and abducted others in weekend raids in the southern African country of Mozambique. Kidnappings of women and children occurred along with the burning of many homes. Islamic extremist attacks have also risen in other regions of Africa in the last several years. Bishop Harry Jackson Jr. Dies

On November 9, 2020, Bishop Harry Jackson Jr. of Hope Christian Church in Beltsville, Maryland, passed away at the age of 66. A prominent conservative pastor and evangelical adviser to President Donald Trump, Bishop Jackson was called a true man of God and a friend of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Ironman Triathlon Completed By Person With Down Syndrome

21-year-old Chris Nikic from Maitland Florida, became the first person with Down syndrome to finish an Ironman. overcoming many obstacles since birth, last year Chris started training for the Special Olympics triathlon and built up enough skill and endurance to finish the race including a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride and 26.2 mile run. Congressional Seats Filled By Pro-Life Supporters

In last Tuesday’s presidential election, 13 new pro-life women and 11 incumbent pro-life women, were elected into the House of Representatives. Pro-life groups were encouraged by the win, and hope the trend continues. Many of those elected were Republican’s, and cited their Christian beliefs for their stand on abortion. Grandson Of Billy Graham Reaching Millions With Gospel

Edward Graham, grandson of the late Billy Graham, says that Operation Christmas Child, a project from the Samaritans Purse organization, is reaching millions of children with the love of Jesus. Election Shows Decrease In Christian Voters

The number of Christian voters affiliated with both democrats and republicans has been steadily decreasing, studies show. Down 15% since 2008, the Pew Research Center conducted a study showing faith is decreasing among the American people. One prominent issue the study points to is the battle against abortion. Tim Tebow Visits Homeless Shelter

Athlete and Christian, Tim Tebow put his faith into action this week when he stopped by a Phoenix homeless shelter. Armed with 50 pairs of new shoes, Tebow even took the shoes off his own feet to give away when he didn’t have enough to go around. Church Arsonist Sentenced

A 23 year old man was sentenced to 25 years in prison and ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $2.6 million. Holden Matthews from Louisiana, was convicted of setting fire to three black Baptist churches in the area. Matthews pleaded guilty in state court to three state hate crime counts, two of simple arson of a religious building and one of aggravated arson of a religious building. Temple Mount To Be Referred To By It’s Muslim Name

In what is considered a very partisan decision, The United Nations General Assembly decided Wednesday that the Temple Mount in Jerusalem will now be referred to by the Muslim name of al-Haram al-Sharif. Israel’s ambassador to the UN called the move a disgrace, and vowed the resolution wouldn’t change the strong ties and history of the Jewish people to the sacred site. Air Force Chaplain Discriminated Against For Bible Preaching

Chaplain, Captain Curt Cizek was discriminated against for preaching from the Bible in an Air Force chapel service. While serving as a chaplain in Air Force Basic Military Training, Chaplain Cizek preached a sermon on Christian sexual ethics, causing backlash which ultimately ended his military career. 3rd Grader Threatened With Suspension Over Mask

Third grader Lydia Booth wore a mask which said, “Jesus loves me” to her Mississippi school. School officials ordered her to remove the mask and replace it with a school provided one, threatening suspension if she refused. Evangelical leaders have signed a letter titled, “A 2020 Call for Biblical Peacemaking: Evangelical Leaders’ Statement on Violence and Division” Concerned with the rise of anger, persecution, violence, and division in the country, these religious leaders vow to bring peace, love, and reunification back to the United States. Santa Named Essential Worker

Children everywhere are worried that Santa’s annual visit will be stopped this year due to Covid-19.  But rest assured, the big guy himself says he has no plans to cancel his Christmas Eve flight. Los Angeles County Issues Citation Against Church

Lady of Angels Catholic Church in Arcadia, California was fined one thousand dollars by the county of Los Angeles for violating Covid-19 restrictions. After being seen allowing 11 people to pray and worship inside the sanctuary, authorities issued the citation. Church officials say they are being unfairly targeted. The United States Lifts Restrictions On Israeli Research Funding

US Ambassador to Israel, David Friedman, joined Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for a ceremony celebrating research funding for Israeli institutions in the West Bank. After the US lifted previous geographic restrictions, Netanyahu praised the move saying it was especially important in the war against the Corona virus. Group Of Mississippi Inmates Baptized

It’s never too late to turn your life around as shown by 17 inmates, including men and women, who gave their lives to the Lord at a jail in Collins, Mississippi.  Hoping for a fresh start and a new way of life, the group serving time at the correctional facility were baptized by the ministry provided by the Covington County Sheriff’s Office. Three Dead As Woman Beheaded In Knife Attack In France

Two women and one man were killed in in a brutal knife attack in the French city of Nice. At the Basilica of Notre-Dame where the victims were getting ready to attend mass, the suspect  burst in and carried out the murders. During a virtual hearing held on Wednesday, Senator Ted Cruz, among others expressed concern about the ability of Facebook, Google, and Twitter to influence elections. Teacher Giving Zoom Class Saves Grandparent

When first-grade teacher Julia Koch got a call about a computer glitch from Cynthia Phillips whose granddaughter was in her class, she knew there was a more serious issue. While communicating, Koch noticed Phillips was slurring and  mixing up her words. After recognizing the symptoms of a stroke, the teacher leapt into action, alerting authorities who called 911. Poland’s Top Court Bans Abortion Of babies With Birth Defects

Poland’s Constitutional Tribunal struck down a law allowing abortions of babies with birth defects, citing Poland’s constitution. Following the ruling, abortions will now only be permitted in Poland in cases of rape, incest or if the mother’s health and/or life are at risk. Pope Francis Elects First Black American Cardinal

Archbishop Wilton Gregory of Washington, D.C. will be America’s first Black Cardinal. The 72 year old said he was both grateful and humbled, as he thanked Pope Francis for opportunity to serve the church in this greater capacity. With his appointment, Cardinal Gregory now becomes the highest ranking black prelate in the country. Read more about his promotion here.

 

Churches Attacked In Nigeria

In Nigeria, as 12 pastors and more than 400 Christians gathered at church to pray for peace, they were attacked, beaten and shot at with guns by suspected Muslim mobs. On the same day, other churches in the area were burned and vandalized. Despite this persecution, the churches refuse to be silenced in their faith. Read more about this attack here.

Texas fifth grader, Orion Jean, has a heart as big as the Lone Star state. Seeing all of the hurting families in his area, Orion has set a goal to get 100,000 meals to hungry people before Thanksgiving. This amazing young man says, now more than ever, kindness is important.
