December 18th – 1 John 4:10

1 John 4:10

Victor Hugo once said,” The supreme happiness of life consists in the conviction that one is loved.” We can have an assured conviction of the love God has for us, for it is manifested through His gift of His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. Freely, and lovingly, the Lord came to pay the sin debt that we owe. Sadly, many won’t love God in return. Yet because He is love, our Father’s love for each of children never ceases. And because of that amazing, unmerited love shown to us, we should eagerly share that love with others.

December 14th – Philippians 2:9-10

Philippians 2:9-10

There is no greater name under heaven than that of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. From the beginning He was with God, and He was God. (John 1:1) He is the Author and Perfecter of our faith, (Heb. 12:2), and it is only by His great name in which we can be saved. One day very soon Christ will return to rule. And everyone, believers, non-believers, angels and demons, will bow at the feet of Jesus and every tongue will confess Him as Lord. What a glorious day that will be will heaven and earth declare Him King!

December 5th – 1 John 5:11

1 John 5:11

When witnesses testify in court they swear to to tell the truth, and nothing but the truth. But unfortunately we know that people and their promises can’t always be trusted. That’s not the case with God. We can trust that He is always true, honest, and faithful to keep His word. Throughout the Old Testament we read the glorious testimony of God promising a Messiah who would come to save the world. And that promise came true with the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who God sent to redeem the world.

December 3rd – Galatians 4:4-5

Galatians 4:4-5

Throughout its history, what Israel prayed most for was the promised Savior sent by God. And in His perfect timing, God answered that prayer by sending His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus came to give His life in exchange for ours. He became the perfect sacrifice and shed His blood to make us heirs to His kingdom. When we receive Christ as our Savior, we become adopted sons and daughters in His heavenly family. And as such, God promises to bestow upon us, “every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places of Christ.” (Eph. 1:3)

December 2nd – Isaiah 9:6

Isaiah 9:6

Oh the awesome names of Jesus. As our Wonderful Counselor, He hears our petitions, and guides us on the path we are to follow. As our Mighty God, He is our Creator and Savior who left His heavenly throne to become a sacrifice for our sins. And as our Prince of Peace, He came to restore our relationship ship with God and to give us a spiritual peace that this world can never shake. How thankful I am that Jesus became everything for us and gave everything for us to give us an eternal life spend by His side!

November 29th – 2 Corinthians 2:14

2 Corinthians 2:14

The apostle Paul knew suffering. He was beaten, stoned, imprisoned, and shipwrecked. All for his faith in Jesus. Yet Paul didn’t despair. For he knew that life is hard. And it rarely goes the way we think it should. But just like Paul, we too can have confidence, strength, and even joy, no matter what we face. Because when we walk hand in hand with the Lord, our path always leads to victory. So no matter what life throws at us, we can rest assured that with God on our side, we will always triumph in the end.
