God forgives And Forgets – Hebrews 7-8

Hebrews 7-8

At its very heart, the message of the gospel is forgiveness. We are all born into sin and enemies of God. Yet because of His unequaled love for us, from the beginning the Lord provided the way to forgiveness. First with the old covenant of blood sacrifices, to the most wonderful new covenant with the sacrifice of Jesus. …

April 10th – John 14:21

John 14:21

One of the most wonderful qualities of God is love. And it was out of this great devotion that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to offer us eternal life. Now that in itself is an indescribable gift of love. But the great God we serve offers even more. For to those who receive Jesus as their Savior, God presents the opportunity to enjoy with Him an intimate, loving, personal relationship. Through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, and our obedience to His commands, the Lord reveals Himself in intimate ways that an unbelieving world could never experience!

John 21:25

I love reading biographies and learning about people’s lives. And the greatest biography there is, is the life of Jesus Christ. Although Jesus only walked the earth for three years, the things He accomplished, the words He said, and the wonders He performed, are vast. So it’s no wonder John says it’s impossible to contain all the majesty, splendor, and love of Jesus and His works in just four books of the Bible. Yet in His love and grace, God made sure that what is written about Christ is just enough, “so that you may come to believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that through believing you may have life in his name.” (John 20:31)

John 10:10

Jesus is our good Shepherd.  And as such, He cares, protects, and defends His flock from all who seek to destroy it. And one of the greatest dangers we face is from false teachers. These workers of Satan seek to take the Word of God and twist it to fit their diabolical meaning. They love nothing better than to see Jesus’ flock confused, scattered, and vulnerable. But when we cling to Christ, not only are we safe from the wolves, our great Shepherd gives us life abundant. A life filled with joy, peace and love, and one greater than we could ever imagine!

Loving What You’re Wearing – Colossians 3

Colossians 3

I don’t know about you, but I’m a bit of a fashionista. I love looking through magazines and seeing the latest styles. Although each of us has our own personal tastes, I think we can all agree that we want to look good. And what we wear can also impact how we feel. Whether it be a comfy pair of sweatpants or a brand new outfit, when we love what we’re wearing it shows. And in this chapter of Colossians Paul becomes our personal stylist, providing us with the perfect Christian clothes. …

Galatians 5:13-26

In the world we live today, wealth is celebrated above all else. Our televisions, magazines, and internet are all inundated with images and stories of the rich and famous. February 21st – 1 John 4:21

1 John 4:21

The main theme throughout the Bible is love. God’s love for us, and our love for God. But the Bible also makes it very clear that the love God shows us is to be demonstrated toward others. For everyday our Father in heaven loves us, who are unlovable, with His perfect unconditional love. And we in turn need to shower others with that same love. Now on our own, such a commandment is impossible. But through God, and a heart filled with the Spirit, all things are possible, including loving others.

John 14:23

The evidence of our love for Jesus isn’t in our words, but in our actions. It’s easy to say we love the Lord, but is that love active in our lives? By keeping His word, we express the priority of our hearts to God. It is through our obedience to Christ and His commandments, that shows the world our genuine love and devotion to Him. In return, God through the Holy Spirit, comes into our hearts and takes up residence. And through His redemptive love starts work for on changing our hearts and minds to become more like the Lord we serve.

John 3:16

In one of the greatest examples of love, God sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to die so that we can live. Once we were dead in sin, separated from our Father in heaven. But because of His amazing love for His children, God gave of Himself to reconcile us back to Him. Jesus came to be beaten, tortured, rejected, and nailed to a Cross to pay our sin debt in full and bring us back into fellowship with God. Through His loving sacrifice, the Lord offers us a life eternal spent by His side. And all we have to do is to say yes, and receive His gift of love and pardon.
